NWN:EE is Out Plan?
-
Don't have it yet. Will get it when we get an official decision of when we cross over.
When it is announced, perhaps a quick guide of how to get it, install, if there's anything we need to watch for, like ask for unique CD keys and the like.
-
So regarding hak paks and such, you simply just access the EE workshops and subscribe to that package. It’ll auto queue, but might not display download times- however it’s a very simple method.
You will have one cd key that’s connected through the steam purchase, so as long as the comp has logged in to steam you should be able to log in to that same character on any PC regardless.

Dumb question: Steam is similar to Battle, net and Origin? (yes... I've never worked with Steam before...)
-
Yes. Pretty much that Minion, but better.
-
As soon as possible, honestly. You'll get a HUGE influx of new players around this time when it's new and on steam. IT'll level out after that.
-
I don't think we should wait for v6 before releasing to EE. We should take our time for V6, people can enjoy v5 on EE.
-
They posted their release notes for the game if you'd like to see all of the changes.

My question is; If we switch over. Is the GOG version still able to connect, or do we all have to re-buy the steam vs?
-
Everyone has to re-buy
-
I mean.....having new blood and easy to find us. I am all for it. But the whole haveing to re-buy it for steam might hurt some already here. I would at least give it a month so people could get money to buy it before the switch over.

@zargen-of-zandor As Moloch called out, there are those willing to assist players with covering the costs of the NWN:EE.
The good news is that we're not looking at the cost of a new game ($60) but rather a third of the normal price ($20). I'm not quite sure how it breaks down in other currency but I would assume similar concepts.
-
If anyone is not financially stable enough to spare money for the game, I volunteer to help out and pay for a few games.
-
Not playing right now, but what Lady said. If anyone needs a copy to keep enjoying Arabel, PM me.
-
Last time I bought nwn, I got 15 years of playability off of it.
Last time I bought a pizza, I got 20 minutes of playability out of it.
Both cost the same, I think it's a worthwhile investment lol. -
@chips Wait, pizza?
-
Well I got NWN:EE now. So I am good to roll
-
no point getting the dlc is there?

I am guessing you are talking about the DLC on Steam, all the DLC on Steam are just Premium Modules (3 of them), Soundtracks (2 of them), and one Portrait Pack that are offered piecemeal rather than all together in the NWN:EE Digital Deluxe Bundle. Hope that clears anything up.

ill just get the base game, not really planning on playing solo anyway ;)

Got my copy. Just waiting to install.
