Octavious knowledge of frozen lands
-
- A Druid walks into the library searching for any information on the icy lands before his footsteps were left there*
-
The Librarian points north to the very visible Stormhorn Mountains

[A man with golden limbs who was, until recently, probably sleeping over a desk of books, quills, and ink, approaches the man as he leaves from the unhelpful Librarian. First, he directs him to a set of [url=/forum/viewtopic.php?t=34242]maps that hang within the Scriptorium before taking him along the stacks talking as he walked.]
"In the region there are nominally two mountain ranges in which are dominated at all times of the year by ice and snow.
The Stormhorn Mountains, to the north, are the most prominent feature as you have described in the Arabellan Region. They've been through quite a lot in recent times, most notably the Primordial Crisis that befell Arabel originated from a slumbering Primordial that made up part of the Mountain Range. They are primarily home to various Giant clans, and a shrine of Auril rests in a pass that leads to the Stonelands desert on the other side.

Just across the water, or through the Wailing Fog if you so desire to walk that path is the Thunder Peaks. Home to the Thunderholme Dwarves it has suffered through much in the last few years and is now in the process of rebuilding their old Hold. Those mountains are home to a number of wild creatures, Wolves, bears, tigers and many others.
In addition, there is presently a portal within the Spire that leads to the Frozen Waste of Vassa far to the Northeast, though it is not always so operational or suitable for travel to the unprepared.
The man asks if the druid had a specific question regarding these regions, so he might better aid him in his search.
