Some things that need to be made clear about status and pvp
-
First Point, we are a pvp server. Seems simple enough, but it seems like people forget it from time to time.
Second Point, we want players to be able to play without ever getting involved in PvP, because we know some players don't like it.
Third point, and this one seems to get lost a lot- If you are in a faction or have a special perk, people are going to try to oppose you. The server is designed to be that way. So if you are anything from a lowly deputy in the militia (is that still a thing?) to a noble you are playing that character with the understanding that pvp can come from anywhere at any time, and you need to trust the dms to make sure there was enough of a reason for it to happen. If that's not cool with you, you are playing the wrong thing.
Hope that clarifies things going forward, but i will gladly explain it again if it comes up again. Thanks for playing!

So, there has been some chatter on the dm forums that my statement that we are a pvp server could be taken the wrong way. To be honest, I thought the same the first time I reread it but then just figured you all know what I meant, that we are a RP server that allows PvP. But, just in case that wasn't clear, this is your clarity.
Also, I don't want you to think that just because you join a faction or app for a half dragon that you will be in non stop pvp, that's not what I meant at all. You just have to expect that people might want to work against you (chances are your concept is failing if that's not true) and that could eventually lead to them throwing a monkey wrench in your plans or them trying to kill you. It's actually a compliment.
We also have factions that work directly against each other, like the chaos brigade vs the law factions, and you should expect to end up in fights with the other side if you are in these groups.

Basically, PvP for the purpose of telling a story is fine. If in doubt, ask a DM, or ask yourself, "Would I punch a guy in the face in real life for this?"
