How Many Old Timers Are Still Around?
-
I remember when you started with (or rather, that's what was for sale at the wagon + the brothers) rusty equipment with negative stats. I also remember the decoding quest in the mage's guildhall… and looting the once-shrine of tymora with some minor investments in lockpicking. And the half orc in the old slums inn that would give you a disease if you made the wrong conversation choice.
Still not sure where that places me since I haven't ever made a long standing character. Yet I still keep coming back... or wanting to, anyway.

i will go through my lists..i will see if i can invite people to return, ones whom i no longer see

I feel as if I may have conjured a demon. Better secure your treasure, and watch out with characters who's name starts with a K.

oh I hated the decode quest and getting jailed for looting the selune shrine

or when you have a marketplace teeming with salesmen and benches but don't for troms sake ever let a city guard see you sitting and loitering waiting to buy something, or you get poofed to jail for petty crimes and have to wait or bail out

Plenty of old CoAers over at EFU; been trying to get RwG to come back for ages

i play on efu as well, it is pretty good as, but the issue i find that makes it a bit harder to play on is if you play a character with a long term in view (well till their next wipe) you eventually lose all the people you know, the attrition rate of characters is fairly high
the relative ease in finding other players in arabel means i spend more time here, i tend to log in, do my tasks i can do, then search for RP, i have 2 characters here as opposed to only one there, so it means i will of course spend more time here (RP on both servers is rewarding and very satisfying).
the RP is easier for me to find on arabel because i have learned over time where to go to find the RP, i am sure in time i may find it there as well, i get greeted occasionally in tells by several of the players over there, but i will not ask them to abandon efu to come here, i think that would be in bad taste, what i do do however, is let those who ask how my chars are doing and the server. always good things

Toben Set died around the time i started playing. I remember some one making a sending about it.
