Tips for playing a Hardcore character?
-
I'd happily play all my characters as one life characters were it not for some of the silly things like faction bugs and other silly things that can get you killed oocly. I'm not keen on the death system myself for the same reasons as yourself Kath', good post btw.

@Kathrine:
blahblahblah
You're playing a hardcore character and didn't tell me?! I might just give it a go.
Best thing I ever heard of was a hardcore Garagossan line-up living by the "never retreat" dictate - which flies in the face of your "back up and heal at 55% health" >.> (granted, only one of them made it past level 7 I think)
I think it's fair-game to not consider faction-bugs or events that result in a True Rez by a DM to be your character's end. The big thing is that it makes death have obscenely high consequence, and that knowledge affects your interactions.

I've still got her if you're looking for a buddy, LM ;) Just been tied up with Amarantha

Also, reslot Tab to Spacebar (tool tip under the misc tab in settings). It saves your thumb. Really does.

@Commisar:
Spam Tab. the more aware you are of whats going on around you the better.
I always have one finger hovered over Tab
this saved Lorannia's life from a horde of gypsies on patrol once, holy shit it was a shit storm of them, never mind me running like hell backward to the city gate followed by a sending and went back to kick their ***
**to the point, it works and get's you further then lvl 4 at least

This sounds really pervy when you aren't paying attention to what the conversation is really about.
