You can, if I'm not mistaken, bind a key to toggle walk/run.

RE: Lowbie Quests outside Arabel
I'd rather just know which ones you're talking about and put some ads up in game to help people find them.
I know one. A quest about a kid stolen by kelpie for levels 1-4. Questgiver is placed in a burrow in the Springs, so there's not much possibility for a newbie to come across it unless a player knows it already.
Also, add a visual hint at where the actual transition is. You have to put your cursor above it to find it, and I had some trouble finding it the first time (ran past it)

RE: What to spend gold on?
Well, I remember some of the dyes costing hundreds. Now they are affordable enough to experiment with in my opinion compared to the old costs when you could waste a 400gp red metal dye on the wrong metal part. Today's dye prices work as a gold sink well enough without being insanely expensive.

RE: What to spend gold on?
I actually think those discipline gems are too cheap, but then again they can be unreliable when really needed

RE: What to spend gold on?
Hmm, I think there's too much free healing and consumables around. Lower the amount, and people will have to spend gold on consumables again.
The less permanent things you have to spend gold on, the more gold will have to be spent.I for one are never high enough level to bother paying for a raise, and with the gear safe from looting/server crash its really not much to loose on death any more.
On the note of socketable gems, perhaps it could be possible to pay large amounts of coins to "purify" the flawed/crippeld ones? And perhaps this would have to be done a few times before the gem finally crumbles?

Aw, wish I was with you on this one! Looks fun

RE: Progressing sha'ela.
I think you'd have an easier time if you found some active players to stick with, rather than trying to be involved everywhere. Find a group of characters that you can support and get support from.

RE: AI - monster tactics
I also like that the weaker enemies/animals/vermin sometimes get scared of you and run away (maybe only some have this behavior implemented, but it adds flavor to the AI).
I like the magic user AI tweaks, the only thing I see here is a fixed sequence of spells cast… Can be exploited and often valuable time is spent casting defensive spells that will only help them in certain situations.
Melee AI tends to be unpredictable, which I like. But as everyone have mentioned they may be impossible to stop if they go for the squishy characters. I've seen more and more of the squishy characters stay so far back that they can't possibly take part in any battle at all.
