The best recognition I get from playing is the one I get from other players. The occasional tells of "Your character is awesome" are the essence for me, and make me keep on playing. I do my best to return said recognition whenever someone else impresses me with their approach. DM recognition is only really a minor bonus that comes very rarely for me, and thats not really a necessity to make me feel valuable as a player. Its you guys! <3

RE: Transition Traps In Stonelands
Report the exact location (if possible in game) to a DM, logs can trace how the trap got there. This sort of trap use is equivalent to griefing by server rules, unless the instigator was present and it was a legitimate ambush scenario. even if someone else got there first by accident, well, that's just bad luck.
Actually. Whether or not he had a "legitimate ambush scenario", it doesnt matter since it's still considered griefing to place a trap on a transition. I know this by first hand experience, as during my newb years I was confronted by Gurb during an intense session of PvP, for doing exactly this in front of Three Bars transition. That lecture, taught me well.
So, people- placing traps infront of transitions- just dont do it. It's bad taste, and you'll be in big trouble if you do it.

RE: What do your stats mean
I see this chart as a wonderful tool of inspiration to roleplay changes in your characters "appearance", say when affected by a curse or a blessing, and not necessarily a strict black & white rulebook on how to play your character. Cheers for pointing this out Thune! Definitely deserves a sticky so I can look this up whenever possible.

RE: Swordcoast
The creators have said the game is not built for persistent servers, so don't get your hopes up if you were hoping for something to replace CoA.
However, for someone looking to do some short campaigns with a bunch of pals, maybe because you don't have enough time to devote here, this sounds awesome and worth giving a whirl. With the right tools, it currently costs about 27 €. While that's half of what I make in a day at my part-time job, I was still happy to give my support to a great idea that shows promise for a future NwN successor :)

RE: European CoA Fall Meetup
A finn does not survive social gatherings without booze. I would empty that hip flask in an hour, so you better bring a few!

RE: What kind of player are YOU?
What are up to THREE of your OWN favourite characters to have played?
Fandon'Zorak Hairyscale - A Bard HD who made his stories by traveling and helping villains to rise, and then see them fall through glorious heroic deeds.
Ethan Barksdale - Crooky Sheriff.
Hurin of the Roads (Aka Eric Smithson, Aka Nathan Rogers) - The KoTR leader (where Jon Ermyn, Thrag & gang were born)
What are up to THREE of your favourite characters that OTHER people have played?
Tobin Sett - Unlike Pyatt Pree, Tobin escaped the unbreakable prison of the WW. The moment when I saw his return, disguised as a Thayan Knight of a Magus, made to my memories.
Baron Xzavien Kreswell - Fight to the last!
Ondeth Waters, "The Black Dragon" - The, speech. So, epic.
! @Rorschach:
! >Edit: Apologies for the bad spelling. I half-feared the Legion would arrest me and lop off my head if I wasn't quick about it.
Do you have a preference in storylines?
I like Epic, large battles. Dragon vs Knights breeds a good story, always! How do you like your PvP?
Good rivalries, constant attempts to make the other fall, ending in epic battle, or to an assassins blade at the local tavern.Playing times?
Nope.
