Rumors spread that the Army of Tilverton found its fortifications assaulted and attacked by a group of Obsidian Skulls from the Stonelands, allowing the Scourge, an army of raiding Lizardfolk to descend upon the fortress.
The bloody fighting ended in Tilverton's victory and pushing the lizardfolk back, but the costly victory no doubt weakens the Duke's grip upon the fortress hill.
The Obsidian Skulls were publicly praised by the King in a recent council for the initiative in weakening the Duke's army, and King Matrim smugly holds over his wife his decision to hire the Skulls despite her misgivings.
