Battle of Craig
-
This is how the Battle of Crag will go.
The knights will march forth in full array.
Sir James will march in front, announce our presence and desire to contest ownership of the Crag.
The Legionaires will march out, smile, cast Hold Person about 20 times, plant 50 Deadly Electical traps around all the immobile knights, then wait for the spells to wear off.
"You were saying, Knights?"
Knights: "Oh shit!"
-
Wasn't there a time that Crag was attacked once before and everyone was sure the invaders would lose, but they didn't? When was that? I swear that happened once.
Phoenix Legion takes it from Cormyr, Cormyr takes it back from Phoenix Legion, Cormyr loses the war and Arabel inherits it somehow, Cormyr takes it back from Arabel, Slimecult takes it from Cormyr, Legion inherits castle.
-
Minna charges and goes in in a epic blaze of glory!
-
Who has changed sides more often?
Crag or Roy Steel?
-
Ya'll know Hold Person is easily blocked by Clarity and Freedom of Movement, right? So if the Knights are not made of suck I'm pretty sure they can deal with the 2-3 Legion PCs that are around now.
-
You know hold person is so over rated your much better off using flesh to stone thats permanant..or even better just use evards and as the kinghts arn't halflings and gnomes they will all get held and killed job done.
Of course if you don't have either of those spells grease, web and stinking cloud generaly works just as well, you have to get your warriors to chop them up afterwards of course but they will be pretty helpless. -
Giovani will challenge Raventree to a duel, right in the middle of the field of battle, with a death tyrant and an angel judging the bout, then, just as the duel is about to end, some third party will storm in and finish it for either side, before being slain by the death tyrant and the angel simultaneously. The tyrant and the angel will get married, and rule castle crag.
-
All these things relies on saving throws. People don't like that. Much better to just buff up and go over and batter them into submission. Much easier to think of and to remember. AB roll vs AC. Win = pain, fail = try again. Very simple.
Saves however are vs. daze, stun, paralyze, potential damage, half damage, sleep, slowing, falling, and much much more. Too much to keep track of, not to mention the chances of resisting all your efforts. All this clever planning and preparations ruined by a few lucky saves. The only thing that is failsafe is to smash his face with your sword before he does the same to you. Worst case you lost a fair fight and died an honourable death.[/end sarcasm]
-
Akmin will be raised in the middle of the battlefield- everyone will laugh out loud- every one goes home
-
Erza and Akdul watch and wait for everyone to gather and spam AoE's killing everyone and taking over Crag for themselves.
-
And somewhere along the battle-line, a spent wizard from the MG will be using his guild wand on all the placables and making them glow orange.
-
The space stallions will come and chase the Hart away using the power of the horse. Full force!
-
Shortly thereafter, Sir Morden will come back to a destroyed castle with a "WTF" look on his face, only to then realize that Lord Duspire is actually Queen Venieth's twin sister, and that Salnar suddenly takes control of the Crag area.
-
And as all this is happening, Alistair and Reyn will manly giggle about it, join their hands and continue their dance on the flowerfield of afterlife.
-
Alllies of both sides will pour in, tunring it into a free-for-all
-
Alllies of both sides will pour in, tunring it into a free-for-all
This. And J will probably be running around the battlefield invisibly, trying to avoid getting killed. Just cuz I'm dumb enough to show up to an event like that.
-
hi wats goin on hear/
-
this is the best place to talk about this ever. +2
-
Can we, you know, actually nuke Crag this time?
Then put a town in place with a +2 weapon merchant. Srsly.
-
A confused mulhorandi merchant will make thousands off the hungry participants by selling beholder-on-a-stick.
