The Thing about Fire Drills

Why, hello, City of Arabel. Fancy seeing you at this hour of the morning.
How are you? How's your plots? London folks, good morning! And you, too, Italy!

FIRE DRILLS SUCK SO MUCH GAH.
Now, for the clarification. Earlier today, right as the goblin event was gearing up, Ben-Neeyah and I had to duck outside because some idiot burnt their toast or some such foolishness. Okay, fine. Happens once a month, right? So we scurry back inside, kill goblins, and life is good.
Hours later, now that we're finally done roleplaying for the evening and ready to sleep, BOOM HOW'S IT GOING GUYS I'M A FIRE ALARM IN YOUR EARDRUM.
1am. 1am after being asleep like a damn infant kitten in a bundle of cotton blankets.
So thank you, random gentlemanly college mate who managed to cook your macaroni without water in the microwave. You've given me something to cherish for the rest of my life, or at least something to give my fellow roleplayers something to giggle about.
As Abby would say, it was quite the kerfuffle.

Life at the college dorms , wololololo
1 am not so bad :P

Worst fire drill for me during my "dorm years" was after working the late shift (2 a.m.) I came back to the dorms to grab a shower and some sleep before my 9 a.m. class. Whilst in the shower, hair full of shampoo –- OMGOMGOMGGET OUT GET OUT FIRE DRILL! So, I reluctantly grabbed my robe and towel and stood outside in the 20F weather for almost an hour while they checked the building. Needless to say, I did NOT make my 9 a.m. class. heh.

sigh one night in MY dorm.. the alarm went of three times that night…
-
I'd say fuck it and keep showering.
-
in the middle of the night…I don't think my brain registered it it third time

That happened to my roomate last semester. I was like 'hey Roland… Get out the shower' I see him outside with Slippers and a towel around his waste... Then again he is ripped so it was more like he was showing off haha

We were sneaking a pony keg of beer, 6 liters of vodka and the various pumps, barrels, bags of ice, plastic cups, etc. that go with throwing a party into the fire-exit only stairs of our dorm one evening when one of my accomplices looks through the small window at the top of the stairs and says, "everyone is standing on the lawn looking at the building for some reason." As we're all trying to figure out what they're looking at, a fireman wielding an axe comes through the door in front of us. Then 3 more firemen. Then all of the RAs and 3 campus police.
Turns out someone had pulled the fire alarm, it had been turned off, but the building hadn't been cleared for re entry and we snuck in a door on a side of the building practically no one even knew there was a door on which was hidden behind a large concrete retaining wall. It also blocked out view of the firetrucks and 300 people standing on the lawn.
And that's the story of why I had to attend AA meetings when I was 19 to avoid being thrown off campus.

You could have told them that you where just making your way out of the building through one of the designated fire exits, and decided to do your civil duties and save the booze while you where at it.

which is very likely to take fire!
:)
