The Deliverance

A group of Ilmaterian folk seeking to audit the city and purge it of corruption and sorts, fair game if you ask me
@knockknock said in The Deliverance: The Purging:
Ladies and Gentlemen of Arabel, you are cordially invited to the inaugural PURGING.
We of THE DELIVERANCE are offering an amnesty on all abominable items. Cleanse yourself of sin and all immoral possessions in this Holy act of purity.
We shall ignite a bonfire and pour into it our hate, our malice, our darkness and allow the flames to absolve our sins.
We shall suffer in His name and extend an invitation to you – the City of Arabel – to join us.
Blessed are they broad of shoulder to burden the pain of others.
Blessed are they who suffer of their own volition.
Blessed are they who endure.
We are the Deliverance, extensions of the will of Ilmater, the Lord on the Rack. We ask you welcome us, guests of your City, come, drink of our water, eat of our food, witness our atonement and, if so inclined, participate.
We endure.
OOC: Likely this weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun Night, GMT).
I will oversee this event and see what “immoral possessions” they unearth

I met this man today, a Brother Dai Chansobal, and have agreed to work together to weed out the shit and deadwood hanging around.
He has asked to "audit" us in the name of the Broken God, I will discuss this further with him and see what he's actually on about

Mister Sallvara,
I thank you for seeing me this morning, I believe it a fruitful meeting.
As per our conversation, we of the Deliverance serve the will of Ilmater, we practice self-flagellation to siphon suffering from the weak, the innocent, but so too do we seek out the dark souls of wicked men and visit upon them the wrath of the Lord on the Rack.
Our numbers are so:
Archsufferer Dante von Wonderheim, Priest of his Lord Ilmater.
Brother Stefan Kostler, Holy Knight of Ilmater.
Brother Eno Samuel, Fist of Ilmater.
Brother Dai Chansobal, Scholar of Ilmater.
Yours in faith,
Brother Dai Chansobal.

It would be prudent if your collective focused their efforts on auditing the Precept, who's tower is situated within Clover Market.
They are there by way of an agreement with the Crown where they take the lead on crimes of a magical nature, however they have lapsed catastrophically in their required undertakings
There are movements underway to have their charter revoked and the Crown Guard itself to take command of their portfolio of work, I am sure I don't need to say how much better off we all will be once the nobility takes such a charge by the scruff of the neck.
Some initial pointers for your files:
-
At least two of their members have gone rogue causing pain, suffering, damage and all sorts to the Crown: Izraeth and Treth - It is assumed that there are others within their walls who are planning similar acts.
-
They have a member calling itself the White Witch - obviously anyone who calls themselves that is up to something nefarious, clearly.
-
They have, so far, refused to sign to recognize the Crown's Monsterous Race register which would flag up if any members are of an impure bloodline or conducting research of a sinister nature.
-
There is a rumour, yet unsubstantiated, they paid the Blood Bone Tribe a sum of 20,000 gold to aid in the war the Cyricist church undertook against the Bishopric of Eveningstar.
-
They have lodgings within Tilverton, the settlement presided over by the rogue noble Misrim Obyn who allows crooked faiths such as Cyricists and heretic movements such as the Black Chalice board and keep there.
-
As mentioned above their ghastly tower is situated in the middle of the most affluent area of the City, and it looks disgusting.
Do let me know if there is anything you require clarifying
Francis of House Salvara, Agent of the Crown.
I have tipped there focus toward the Precept - at worst it'll get them to tighten up their act.

Citizens are hurting themselves at the direction of the Ilmater. I have asked for them all to undergo searches to determine if they are using some form of magical compulsion.
