[Wilhem's Report]Delivered to Everduke's desk[DM]
-
[A bundle of well organized and carefully written reports and copies of documents would reach the desk of Everduke.]
Sir Everduke,
I shall preface my report with two key points and arguments in which to defend my actions with;
Point one:
Note:
Until the relevant documents are updated, presume those of the Crown Guard may enforce the law within Arabel and have the following privileges:
May search any of common birth without warrant.
May demand any of common birth to answer questions within their barracks for cause they need not disclose.
If investigating one of noble birth, they must possess warrant.
If arresting a noble of any rank for crimes, they must treat the crime as 'one tier less,' and if the crime is minor, merely place warning, until 'repeated nuisance' is applicable. In cases of murder, the Lord of the Family will judge, or the Crown.
The Royal HeraldUnder this clause, I was well within my rights and duties as a Law Enforcement agent of the Crown Guard to invite the Wildwalker Jendayi to the barracks without warrant and to have her answer questions for cause I need not disclose.
This was my intention, first and foremost. The presence of the Precept Arcanum was necessary for my own safety and were readily available.
Article VII.) The Crown Guards are the law-enforcement of the Kingdom of Arabel's capital, Arabel. The Precept Arcanum are the law-enforcement of natural-born casters of the Kingdom of Arabel's capital and Tilverton.
The Crown Guards are granted the power to enforce the law upon the adventuring population of Arabel, as specified in their public publishing "The Crown Guards". The Precept Arcanum are granted the power to enforce the law upon the adventuring population of natural born casters of Arabel, as specified in their public publishing "The Precept Arcanum".Under this clause, you could even say that Jendayi is also an adventurer since I doubt we even acknowledge the Wildwalkers and Oathsworn as an official entity, but the point is rather redundant.
In any event, I would like to draw to your attention the term Stray as defined by the Precept Arcanum:
Stray
Someone with innate powers, who has caused trouble/embarrassment with them or has become a criminal.I have underlined the specific terms in which Jendayi, an innate caster, has displayed quite often time and again, to Arabel and other local authorities: causing trouble, specifically through deceit and/or lying by omission.
I also fear that Jendayi and the Druid known as “Unicorn” have become touched and unstable; I witnessed the attack upon the group outside of Hillmarch by Izereth the Witch, the one in which they were subdued. I was able to escape due to magical invisibility, but afterwards, while they lived, it would seem that both were missing blood.
It is quite possible that some sort of head worms or parasites or something were placed inside their bodies at that time and now they could very well be tainted and the signs are just now surfacing.
We can not and will not have another Izereth. Not again. Not on my watch. That is the basis for my actions in the “ambush” of Jendayi.
I shall not stop there, even.
Hereby a translation into common for all the posters made by the Elven fellowship up till this point.
The Elven Fellowship acknowledge Araushnee, liberated from the shadows, reborn, redeemed, restored.
She, the Weaver of Destiny, returning to her mantle of old, Seer of all, calls the Advent of the Tel-quessir.
Stand now with your brothers. Rise now with your sisters. Seek the Fellowship of Elves.
The sun rises ever higher and blazes ever brighter.
So bright it burns away the shadow of old Araushnee. What she had become extinguished evermore to darkened depths.
They take up arms and rage against the sundering. We will not let them detain the Weaver of Destinies once more.
Answer the summons of your people.
The Fellowship of Elves bask together.
The need of the Tel-Quessir has been made plain, the Lady Returned, Araushnee, has transcribed the lacework of fate.
Come, Brothers, Sisters, Cousins all. Seek the Fellowship.
Sincerely,
ElrindeTo further reinforce the fact that Jendayi and the Wildwalkers/Oathsworn of Arabel are a threat, is that they have continued to harbor the Elven Fellowship. This group has committed crimes such as kidnapping and tampering/stealing/withholding evidence from law enforcement agents to possible murder. The Druids of the Circle have since elevated Saeharice to the position of “War Chief” of a Grove; certainly, a reward for his unjust and malicious acts.
You would know her by a different name.
After her great betrayal and the curse placed upon her by the father of all Elves, she was known by the name Lolth.
-ElrindeSaeharice and his elven following allegedly worship “Araushnee” who in actuality, is the vile Spider Goddess, Lloth. It is most convenient that they have holed up in the Webbed Forest, host to spiders and the like.
We also cannot ignore the fact that they take aid from and align themselves with a monstrous horde, the lycanthropes and giants. Apparently it is a formidable sized army that I fear will one day be turned toward Arabel if suitable preventative measures are not taken soon.
My hope was to allow Jendayi to safely and peacefully submit a blood sample so that we could definitively rule her out as being a suspect as well as being able to view her dealings within the Wildwalkers. I also had hoped to interrogate her and possibly unearth any secrets that the Druids are so desperately and stubbornly holding onto for their own selfish gain. When she attacked us in response, the Precept members acted swiftly and promptly with the intent to subdue, not murder.
As it is, she was able to flee.
There are still so many questions left unanswered and I believe the Wildwalkers and Oathsworn are keeping them behind lock and key. I fear something utterly terrible is going to happen soon, and they will be at the focal point of it all.
I acted because there has been so much inaction lately, all around. I indeed took a risk and accept full responsibility for it.
But, while some chase after mere trinkets and others for glory and even dead ghosts, I’m bearing the hardest job of all: Actually doing my damn job and risking my life for it. Now, I shall be hunted by all sorts of animals and trees and shite.
With that, I do so hope to have cleared the matter up. If you need anything else, I shall attempt to elaborate even further.
Also.
I leave you with a question, food for thought: Where is Izereth’s body?
Something smells afoul, and I think it is steeped in a steaming, heaping, giant-sized, mountain of Druid dung deep, deep somewhere within that gods forsaken forest...
Signed,
