Vote:Crushing the Rebellion

Jenny of Tilverton, I am understanding the things you do say. My words were for Tristan of the Aster. I am thinking he listens too much to Ercole and not enough to persons of knowing.
After what we learned from Jim of Tymora last day, I do say again that this should not be 'all or none'. Please do help I in writing what was learned. This is what Jim did tell us:- The man in purple in their cages was not found in the city but outside in the lands around.
- Ercole and his people caught this man and caged him, to use him against the city in some way.
- Ecole was being in the Manticore when the child was killed, so did not push him in front of carriage like some do be thinking.
Separate them, not punish all the same.
The people who did take up arms - Mercy. They are scared and hungered and acted under the leaders.
The church of the Luck Goddess - Mercy. Do not punish the whole for the actions of one.
The High Shaman of the Luck Goddess - Mercy, for the reason she is high shaman in the Luck Goddess service, and the city would not want to lose favor of the Goddess.
The Low House persons (Groll, Jim, others?) - Some mercy. They should work off debt to city some how. Make dig ditches or build walls or some other thing. Then exile.
Jo of the Faceless - Some mercy. She did want to take back what was born of her and cut off! Exile.
Ercole - No mercy. He did kick this nest of hornets and should learn that they sting. -
I partly agree Ursula
This is what I propose then
The commoners who took up arms, Pardons, they acted under Ercole and Redlock
The Church of Tymora itself, Pardons if they remove Redlock as the leader of the church and turn her over
Redlock, Must answer for her crimes, If she surrenders willingly she can avoid execution, She was however willing to commit treason depending on how a coin toss went and then armed rebels and sent them at the palace because she wanted Sir August Misrim handing over to Ercole
Lower House, Must answer for their crimes, They have attacked the palace and murdered guards, Supplied mushrooms that have turned people into monsters and murdered a Raven and a Bloodhound. Those who willingly surrender can perform service to the city with a control collar. Those who refuse to surrender will be shown no mercy.
Jo, Must answer for her crimes, Led an attack on the Palace. She went for the flag of Gondegal and gave it to Ercole, Not for herself. Ercole had it with him when he and the Lower House were trying to convince the Tymorans to side with them at the first coin toss
Ercole, No mercy

Ursula, Jim didn't know why Ercole had brought the Purple Dragon into the city. Yes he was caught outside of the city in outside lands and brought to the city.
Also, I agree that Redlock should be punished, however the rest of the church can be pardoned. I understand showing mercy, but they are endangering lives.
Plus, as Pierre pointed out, the lower house murdered a Raven and Bloodhound, and who knows who else? Those are just some that we know about. That's my thoughts anyway.

I've been thinking long and hard about this.
While I am loathe to move on such a popular faith, there is no other option, they've forced our hand by going too far, any hint of weakness now will encourage future rebellions.
If we pardon the Tymorans, it will only embolden them. At the absolute least, the leader must be executed, turning herself in willingly achieves nothing, if she is let free, she will be the leader again in short order.
Commoners who submit to the rule of the Queen and stay indoors when the army arrives can be spared, any others should be treated as rebels.
The rest I agree with. I didn't think it would be the Ravens and Tilverton who went soft, weren't you offering to send aid from the Dukes own forces originally? We may need it, House Summerstar may join the fight on the side of the Tymorans, can you still rally additional troops from Tilverton Pierre?
I am sorry it has taken me so long, but this is a grave decision to make, and it gives me no hint of happiness to make it.

I'll enquire with the Duke and request forces if any can be sent
When I speak of mercy I mean for any Lower House members besides Ercole who surrender willingly before any further attacks against the rebels are made.

For Tilverton to be able to commit any additional forces besides myself and any Ravens around when we strike, we would require being able to trial Redlock in Tilverton for her crimes against the Duke previously.
Before this rebellion she funded a raid on Tilvertons caravans using adventurers and harboured a traitor to the Duke
We requested her extradited in return for the Murrain but the councillors at the time were against it

Can the Council then agree for this:
- The commoners folk who did take up arms - Pardons
- The Church of Tymora - Pardons if they turn away Redlock as the leader of the church. Failing to do so will mean the Church suffers (but how?)
- Redlock - If she do surrender, she will be exiled or forever put in a cage. If she do not surrender, she will be hunted and executed.
- Lower House
- Those who do surrender can be serving the city until debt of life is paid
- Those who do not surrender will be hunted and killed
- Jo of the Faceless - If she surrenders, she will be exiled or imprisoned. If not, she will be hunted and executed.
- Ercole - Execution for crimes of treason, inciting rebellion, other crimes.
- House Misrim will provide funding (maybe from sell of Ercole's things or from his coins?) to the mother of the child killed to provide for her and any other children she do have.
- The coach driver to be serving 30 days labor to the city.
- Shrine of Gondegal - they can put a shrine in the Manticore, but only if the owners do not object.

Our advice has been given.
Three of the councillors say to put out this fire before it spreads out of control. It begun as a social club, and has rapidly spread from the slums to the entire historic district and it's people, and taken hold on the church there.
Now we see the embers flickering at the edges of Eveningstar.
We stamp it out.
