Shadows creeping into the realms

This morning I awoke to find the Rainbringer at our doorstep, talking about shadows lurking in the sewers of Arabel.
Shortly thereafter a sending was made, that more shadows had been sighted. I immediatley made my way there. I descended into the sewers underneath the city of Arabel and found there what appeared the be a tear in reality, seeping into the plane of shadows.
With the light as my companion, I delved into this seam, and entered a realm of pure dark and shadow, where I, along with my companions, faced off against powerful beings of pure shadow.
I was able to destroy the foci that drew them into our realms and stop this incursion for now, but who knows when the next one appears. I have collected a sample of the roiling shadowstuff they left behind for our priests to study.
