Battle for the Redwood.
-
The Black tribe are looking to move into the redwood and corrupt it, The druids have shown us the location of an important drudic location here. The guard has a agree to send men in to hold that location, This will be a fight for a foothold and prepares to prepare to go on the offensive. The Druids I hope will support us, come perpared and supplied for heavy combat.
any questions or anything to add?

//won't be running two concurrent events so no need to have two teams. I can only be in one place at a time//
-
@Prof-Misclick //Changed to reflect that//
-
Rather than split our forces, I say we hit the redwoods on the way... kill two birds with one stone.
Get the men sent there first since it sounds like it's going to be the most difficult to take other than the warchief.

//OOC this may take a few missions... but thats more fun! Take an area at a time?

We will prepare our forest as best we can. In this we many need assistance.
We will keep them appraised.- Children of the Redwoods - Nanthleenee

I am recruiting the services of one Aspirant Keline Hallenthen to assist in devising the battle plans. The more minds we have thinking on this situation, the more likely we are to come up with the best possible plan.
Osco -
Having detailed to the Aspirant the layout of the land (I'm not much of a cartographer but I think she gets the picture), these were her suggestions:
- Since the orcs have supplies and likely more coming -- find their supply line and disrupt it.
- Do the orcs wants something? -- Find out what, and use it as bait to lure them into an ambush at a location of our choosing
- They have to eat - find out where they're hunting and gathering, get the local druids and rangers to pull all the animals out of the area. Deny the orcs their food supply. Make them hungry - hunger sews dissent. Force the orcs to forage in scouting parties and pick off those smaller groups rather than facing the whole tribe at once.
These are some good ideas and I think we need to start on them right away. The more we can make them uncomfortable in their position, the better off we'll be.
Osco -
all good ideas, right now we have to stop this advance!
//when is a good time for all the battle to happen?//
-
We have gathered the first component we need to strengthen the Forest. We will continue to prepare and seek out means to awaken the Redwoods to be ready for these foul orcs.

Council of the Twelve:
Time to protect the redwoods and start pushing orcs back before this festers further. I say the time for action is now. When can we gather and start our offensive?

//OOC... Professor listed the following times this weekend he would be available for events. Friday at 7 MST, Sat. At 10 AM MST, or SAT. 8 PM MST. I can do any of these...so please list below when you guys can attend and we can present something to Professor.
-
// 8pm is good for me as friday and sat I feel doesn't give prof enought time to prepare.
-
So it is agreed at least by my understanding from the long talks last eve and the lack of reports here, one strike force will be put in place on the site of the old Misrim Hunting lodge to defend the druid site. (Will be either NPC or PC depending on what Prof wants to run). The second strike force will go into Black Tribe's territory and disrupt supply and gather intelligence. (Tonight if Prof is up to this one, or future date). Both teams will be made up of the best that Arabel has to offer. Great Druid Nanthleenee will be the decision maker for actions inside the Redwood. One of the Crimson will lead the second force. Tactical advice from Captain Sithir and the Aspirant of the Red Knight are welcome between fights, and perhaps call out instructions in battle but the command falls to the soldiers in the heat of battle. Make sure you are in alignment before we are in the thick of it.
For preparation I have given 9000 coins to Retainer Waldon to create potions and wands to support our front lines. Also, Dawnsquire..... your aspirant was in little more than rags. I supplied him with a gift of coins to have him better outfitted to join us. Please make sure his training is not as sparse as his purse.

finally let us agree and move to action!
-
//FYI. I am good for the tonight time slot. Just let me know some details so I can set it up and tie it in with all the other stuff going on//
-
So. Let us see if we understand well for now.
It is the Crimson will come and protect the Dolmen from the coming orcs. As this is done, we are to gather a pack to hunt down the filthes in their own camp, to weaken them.
Or do they wish to have this Pack take out the orcs coming first then pursue to the camp once they are cleared? Leaving the bulk of the Crimson to protect the forest as we do so?

I have received report that the Black Horde plans on moving en force to assault the Dohlmen monument to corrupt it. we should focus on defending and warding them off. Perhaps catching them off-guard and bringing the fight there.
Dawnsquire Aritian Faressain
-
So which is our plan? To defend the dolmen, or to let the Crimsons do it while we go after the warlord?
Osco -
What happened with this?
-Keline
-
It was decided we should defend the Redwoods.

A Redwoods, at the dolmens, must be defended. The Black Tribe is coming, and they now know we will be there to defend the site. A Battle will be far more deadly we suspect. This situation forced us to awaken the wrath of the forest. Do not enter before we have had time to mark you friends.
