The censors and the investigations of the Tower's Rastaban and Claus has set the Historical District on fire with controversy and fear. The well-liked and controversial figure of Mynae, servant of the "Grandmaster," Former Guard of House Vaylan and open proponent of Gondegal's reign was slain in the streets after seen fleeing from the Tower, her corpse dragged in.
Rumors whisper that the Paladin of the Sapphire Guard, Mindi, betrayed her close friend by luring her into the Tower to her inevitable demise. The Once Noble Paladin of Garl Glittergold walks the street in dull-gray armor, the once shining Sapphire Steel having faded and become worn.
The Temples of the City have collectively demanded Gondegal intervene in the matter, and the True Sun is threatening a March on the Tower in order to discipline its members and show them what the law 'truly' stands for- many eye the Fanatics of the Sun with as much trepidation and concern as they do members of what is now openly called the Black Tower.
