Trouble getting NwN to work
-
So I was having issues with NwN and decided to uninstall. Now I cant get it to run again. I've got it starting up in Admin mode and Windows XP service pack 2. Windows 10 tells me it wont run.
I tried to Update to 1.69, Patch wont go through.
I've done Searches on the forum and havnt found anything. Has anyone else had this issue?

You can have windows adjust its compatability. I had several issues like including some runtime errors. Compatibility checker put it right.

- Mine runs in Windows VISTA SP2 compatibility mode, and works fine.
2)In the nwn.ini file Under [Game Options]
If you're on an i5
[Game Options]
Client CPU Affinity=-1If you're on an i7:
[Game Options]
Client CPU Affinity=-2- Shiny Water to Off (a known problem on a lot of NWN servers)
- Grass to Off (Should absolutely be off in a setting with a high polygon graphics counts, e.g. mountains)
- Creature Shadow Detail to 0 or off (A lot of the more modern tilesets have issues with this and WILL make you crash, so it's better to have it off!)
- Try reducing the shadows detail overall if you run into any other problems.
- Anti-aliasing may make the game look better, but can often crash you.

So I recently fixed all the issues I was having with getting the game to even start up. I can even login. But the problem that originally caused me to re-install in the first place is still around.
My transition times are insanely long. I've never had this issue before. I seem to be able to transition once, which takes about 5 minutes, but the second one makes me crash after just a few minutes. Tonight I went out and got an External harddrive and I moved everything over to that, but the problem is still there. Does anyone have any ideas on how I might fix this?

I get a weird problem where single player and its' vault run really slowly but multiplayer is fine - I cannot work out why.

Sounds like something with your network adapter or modem or general ISP connection. Maybe you have some ports being blocked or a strange network configuration.
