Server Problems

I've seen massive spawns of goblins, kenku and other creatures in various places, including the Hullack and the Sewers, which are apprently created by the server, creating massive mobs of things.
I have noticed the server is very very laggy recently compared to just a month before.
Anyone else notice other weird problems and lag?

I recently got a spawn of 6 memphits in Gilmors on the second floor, when it should be 2 or 3 tops. The party was only 2-4 levels, 3 people.
Also in the Ilmatary midnight snack quest instead of 2 creatures tops I got 4 (dire bat, slime thingy, rat adept and a spider).
I too thought it was weird but unless the spawning triggers arent made harder on purpose this must be a bug of sorts I suppose?

I was doing Frins the other day and some of the rat didn't spawn….
I've also seen some insane lag in big parties.

More spawns = more XP.
I fail to see what the issue is here, it just means you WIN MORE

Last night our group of 4 spawned about 30-40 goblins in on the road to Immersea, including at least 3 chieftains. I had similar problem with about 15 Elite bandits spawning on the road to Zhentil Keep. It's becoming difficult to travel around the server without staying invisible.

Sounds to me like we need more healy bards and cleave barbarians.

We had a group of 4, lvls 4-7 and we nearly died. My point is that even traveling in groups is disproportionally dangerous, and it is beginning to discourage group exploration or questing outside the city.

Come on, people. You're thinking triple chieftain spawns are big deals? They drop like 1k gold. Seriously.
And you only /nearly/ died. Wasn't the excitement worth it? If anything, I used to think traveling alone or outside the city used to be too bland, too safe. Keep it like this.
I liked the days when you might be walking the King's Forest and three dire tigers lept out of stealth and ambushed you.

CoA is so carebear now and days. Needs more highway man concepts to make people rage again. Atleast with a player you can actually like aviod them see them coming a mile away, ranger track them, choose not to fight them at all, find another route, invis pass them, buff to the high heavens then attack, oh wait, you can do that to AI NPCs too. Derp derp.

Can we have one thread that does not result in trolling just because someone disagrees?
The chieftans did not drop 1k gold on the road to Immersea. They dropped 19. And it is a big deal when you are a low level group trying to rp on the road and only one of you is a tank. Just because someone likes a different style of play than you doesn't mean you need to insult them. It just degenerates the entire discussion.
We had 2 rangers, and there as no way around the horde since it was the the transition into the are. Also the spawns are happening quickly, I've had them spawn all around me while I was on the middle of the road. If the DMs want to keep the spawns as they are, that's fine, and we will adapt. I am trying to report what I am witnessing as suddenly out-of-the-normal spawning behavior based on game scripts.
It also contributes to lag when there are 30 goblins spawning in the grotto outside of the West Gate every time an adventurer walks past, whether the goblins are engaged or not.
If players are constantly spawning large numbers of creatures, then avoiding them or running away, it adds to over-all server lag.

sounds like the clean up scripts arent firing
i know they work on drops dont they still work for wandering monsters after a certain time as well?
