Sarah Palin's book. Best work of fantasy fiction ever.
-
Ok Forte you didnt really read her book so FUUUUUUU!!!
As for a good fantasy book, I call upon Master of the five magics. Its a great read and I recommend it to anyone. -
I suppose it makes a certain sort of sense the players I liked shared my taste in literature. I tend to avoid a lot of the big series, but I did oft rave about
-
The Black Company Series. Never seen an epic gritty dark fantasy series survive long enough to see the characters dying off of old age when there was still work to be done. Just starting in on his sci fi now.
-
The Baroque Cycle. Reminds me the world is still a story worthy place, even if the characters never actually existed. (Thank you Strawman!)
-
Amber Series. Convoluted plotting and Shakespearian inspiration without being trite?
-
Lord of Light. By the same guy as Amber, philosophical sci fi about gods. Hinduism is that much more exciting under the guise of sometimes evil technology.
-
To Reign In Hell. Moloch recommended it years ago for obvious reasons. It was inspired by Lord of Light, always a good conversation starter.
-
The First Law series. Fantasy littered with counter examples to tropes. Second series was completely worth reading for the sell out mercenary with some depth.
-
The Lies of Locke Lamora. Smart fantasy thieves with lots of background and grand schemes that made me jealous.
