The weeks pass and finally levies are seen returning. A collective sigh of relief is almost palpable as men and women called to war now return spears for pitchforks and hoes. Cattle and supplies no longer are being hoarded for the war effort. The profiteers soon begin to move on as fears of a hard winter are pushed aside for a time and the common folk in much of the kingdom celebrate.
Not all see this as a cause for joy however. The military might of the Kingdom is shattered. The elite guard of the late Ghost King slaughtered. The many mercenaries in the employ of the duchy of Tilverton have mostly been destroyed or fled, but some linger, taking up the life of banditry. Some see the north as more dangerous than ever without the presence of the Duchal guard and soldiers.
To the south, in Immersea, construction continues, many looking on with great anticipation of what this means...
