The War Effort

Although we have lost good men and women to these craven necromancers, the battle is far from over.During the recent war council, a plan began to take form.
A direct attack should first occur, when we know they stand weakened - for they are preparing for an assault upon their camp.
That means a measure of guile will be required, to bait them into a position of tactical disadvantage. As such, the following is suggested:
- We proclaim that an attack will be planned in the coming days. This will keep them on their toes, as well hopefully refraining from further attacks upon our villages.
- We leak information that we are planning to strike at their supply lines - they are far from home and are situated in a hostile forest. I'm unsure of this one. It would mostly be a feint to have them think we are otherwise occupied, whilst we "uncover" the Saint they seek.
- We "openly" investigate the person Sari Vannis, a supposed "prophet" of Saint Muroz (the name escapes me), in an attempt to feign credible information as to the whereabouts of this Saint, that the Cyrists do also seek.
- We draw them to the Southhorns with above "information", activate the Ward and get justice for the many men and women they've slaughtered.
- We then march on the camp and remove all traces of it.
- Lastly, we march on Tilverton, demanding leader of the Church of Cyric be handed to us, for they must suffer the consequences of condoning these atrocious acts.
What say you, Brother Francis?
The battle plans will need fleshing out, of course. Perhaps that is more a job for you? Otherwise, I will employ the minds of those we can call allies. As well will the plan need some refinement. The supply line feint is perchance an unnecessary step.
Perhaps the diversion should rather be a call to aid a village under assault by hired "thugs", perhaps neighbor townsfolk dressed to make believe.
Whilst in fact, we stage the battlefield.Dawnbringer Aurora

I believe this is all too complicated and difficult to facilitate in the current climate.
With the rise of Crucos as High Priest of Cyric, this war will intensify swiftly and I believe that guile will need be discarded, in favor of a hammer strike to their defenses.
But the people still think this war is one of faith. They do not wish to bleed and die for Lathander's glory. I think.. what we truly need to do is to open our arms further and be more accepting of those who wish good upon these lands - so this becomes more than a war to win for the Morninglord, but one to win for the good of us all.As I wrote to a good friend:
"I only know we cannot stand alone against the tide of darkness - for though the Light shall never fade, it is when we stand together that it burns the brightest."Is it time for Eveningstar to become a haven, not only for those of Lathander's followers, but for all who follow deities that more or less share our views?
Paladins of faiths akin Torm, Tyr, Helm - why would we spur them from the Order of the Aster? Are they less than our Dawnknights?
What of the priestess of Sune, that wishes nothing but love and joy among our people?
Or the monk of Ilmater, seeking to ease the suffering of those who have lost more than they should.I ramble... yet I see cracks in our structure, in the road we walked. Cracks that will worsen, as we continue on the path of Light alone.
We have tried once before, to stand alone. We failed and were forced to entreat to villains and worse.
We should not let this not be a repetition of history.Dawnbringer Aurora
