A few days ago Conrad was challenged to a duel by a cowled figure with a tail.
Conrad lost and although he made a few strikes against them none seemed to wound them and those that did healed quickly without potions.
Conrad sought training with them and yesterday made a sending asking them to meet with him Tilverton, They sent telling him to go to the tower which they referred to as Goldfeathers Ward
I suspect that this Crimson Sabre is a fiend of some variety

It seems this Red or Crimson Sabre is Leonhard, sendings were made by them offering reward for the return of the Ruby rapier that Ambrose has posters up saying is Leonhards.
Considering the Reb Sabre is suspected to be a Warlock it is vital we obtain this blade so we can use it to locate them

That would fit with what I uncovered in the old archives. I found mentioning of an old mercenary adventurer, by that surname, who had a bounty for some horrid, unspecified misdeeds. That they are one and the same makes good sense.-S.F

A divination by Fye has uncovered more.
We witnessed a meeting of the Sabre and a devil I believe to be Za'gal in a fortress likely in another plane
It seems that Za'gal is getting tired of what he percieves as the Sabres failures including Conrad dying soon after he was recruited and said he will stop shielding him, He also hinted that he does not believe that the Sabre is completely loyal to him.
Perhaps a power struggle or the sabre is a double agent.
At the end of the vision the Sabre told us if we wished to learn more we could seek him out and told us where to find him
Whilst I do not fully trust them we do need more information

I went with Fyevarra to meet with the Sabre and learn more.
It seems Za'gal is his actual brother in that they share the same father.
He said Dourhands curse is he wasn't pure by Duergar standards and was exiled. He was working on Fiendsbane to slay the fiend that started the tiefling line he was from.
He said the thing behind the ward could bring planes closer together or almost merge them and allow much easier travel between them.
He then said he wants us to finish Fiendsbane and slay his father with it and that should weaken the devils.
We did not agree to this though.
