Investigation: Drow marking people

Yesterday whilst patrolling the swamps searching for the half dragon cultists with the Lathanderites, Maire, Julianna and Alparin and also joined by Fyevarra we went into the Abyss caves as Maire reported she had slain one there.
In the webbed section we encountered powerful earth elementals including one with emeralds in it, We found that the drow altar close by had been cleansed and reconsecrated and spiders descended from the webs, Whilst fighting them Maire fell and was carried into the webs
A drow priestess revealed herself by the altar and demanded one of us be marked by her for Maires return, Whilst I was whispering with Alparin and suggested he trying to blind the priestess with a bright burst of light, Juli charged at her and she dropped us all with a powerful spell.
It seems Fyevarra agreed to be marked by her.
The elven fellowship believe she will try and mark 8 people and if she does so they will become monsters
