Grishnak's Sap:
The goblin shaman Grishnak was "blessed" with this dubious weapon by his patron deity Maglubiyet. With the promise of the weapon as an instrument with the power to both smite his enemies and a means to provide limitless healing magic for his clan, Grishnak lead a campaign against the bandits and enemy goblin clans enroaching on his people's territory. Things were going well for Grishnak until he himself was injured grievously and one of his followers showed a rare display of initiative and attempted to heal Grishnak using the club. The poor shaman was beaten into delerium; his clan lost their leadership and was unceremoniously squashed by a passing group of adventurers.
Eventually, the enchanted club found it's way into the hands of a priestess of Lovitar, who delighted greatly in it as an instrument of torture and potentially limitless suffering. The club was lost in the Time of Troubles, however, when the powerless priestess was overcome by her captives.

Just a wierd idea, it would not actually have any "engine" spells, but would still be very desirable for certain people and I thought it would be kinda neat. :P
Tongue of the Seer
This mummified and wrapped tongue once belonged to a powerful visionary. After displeasing the wicked sorceror he served, however, he was cut into pieces and fed to wild beasts. The tongue was kept preserved, and those who hold it may still hear the Seer speaking to them.
Use: If the tongue is shown to another sentient being, it may reveal the true given name and surname of this creature to the holder.
((The holder must be of equal or higher HD. Both parties make a charisma roll to determine success. This may only be attempted once per any given sentient being, ever; for a particular holder. Refusal to roll on part of the target constitutes automatic failure.))
Note: The instructions text above would have to be included in the item of course. That way the target can verify it's "authentic" and see the rules. The target keeps track of wether he had been targetted with the item before or not. :p On second thought, it would require people to RP responsibly… hmm. >_>

Gnomish Flint- create campfire effect, unlimited uses
On use - 5% chance of Combust, targeting self (DC 14)A common device created by gnomes that travel for long periods of time. The device resembles a pinwheel, with several metal spikes rotating to strike a piece of metal mounted just above. If cranked too hard, the user runs the risk of setting himself aflame. Gnomes seem to find this very funny, and several make a habit of giving these devices to people they dislike.
Kneebiter - shortsword
Bonus Feat - Called Shot
Use by: Evil
Use by: Halfling or GnomeThis sword was wielded by Mergan, a gnome that spent most of his life guarding caravans. He was unusually unlucky, in that his caravans were attacked more often than most. In an effort to avoid further danger, Mergan began to plot with groups of caravan raiders, leaking schedules and routes in exchange for his safety. He eventually graduated to attacking the caravans from within, slicing the hamstrings of nearby guards. He continued like this for several years, moving on as his employers became wise.

((intended to be for sale by Sill - it bugs me that there weren't really any decent close range "hunting" weapons. This would simulate a greatsword, with a bonus vs animals, pricing should probably be similar to a masterwork greatsword - or less, this isn't enchantable and the bonus only applies to animals. Note that anyone that can use it would by implication have the martial weapons feat anyhow, and greatswords would be available to them))
Boar Pike
This heavy, broad-bladed version of the simple spear is designed for hunting large boars. While the larger tip ensures bigger wounds, the cross-bar set just below the blade keeps the animal at a distance - particularly vicious boars have been known to impale themselves on a regular spear and continue to maul the hunter even while dying.

Rod of Apprehension
Tired of being outrun by criminals, a professional soldier took it upon himself to ask his brother-in-law, a fairly accomplished mage, for something to help him out.
His brother in law gave him a rod to assist him in his duties. This rod allowed him several times a day to hold a suspect in place. If that magic failed, he could tap it on his boots and would get superhuman speed for a time, to catch the fleeing criminal.
The down side is that the rod prevents the actual killing of anyone for wchich it was used on, limiting damage to them to subdual only.
Rod of Apprehension:

Speed 3/day
Cannot conduct Full damage attacks on the target of the rod. -

Okay here is my Idea.
Cloak of the Sewers.
stats +1 ac 1/day Poly self (wearer only)
Desc
At first glance this humble looking cloak does not give the impression that it contains any power at all. Infact it looks like someone used it to bung up a sewer drain that was overflowing. Howver tthis is merely camoflage placed there by the mad wizard that made it. A master of the polymorphic magic, he had an apprentice who he would send out to gather rare ingrediants among dangerious beasts. Since his apprentice could not defend himself well he created this cloak to allow him to change his shape should he encounter any danger. Sadly the last time the apprentice was seen was after being sent out to gather spider silk and turned himself into a fairy. his cocooned body was found later sucked dry but his gear and the claok were missing.
second suggestion
A ring/amulet Or maybe even a cloak added to the craftable table that would allow the wearer the power of Polyself 1 or 2 times a day.
Enjoy Morganna

Aegis of Pure Reason
The Tymoran battle cleric Myardos found himself in charge of leading irregulars during a sustained conflict in the Cormyrian countryside with the forces of Zhentil Keep. Frustrated by the constant loss of men to the twisted illusions woven by Zhentarim mages, Myrados made a few of these shields and handed them out to his most valuable warriors. The men and women with the strength to bear these heavy shields into battle found themselves able to strike hidden mages with uncanny accuracy and to separate fact from fiction even in the midst of combat and chaos.

"This heavily jeweled dagger belonged to a notorious Dwarven priest of Abbathor, known to conduct his bartering and trade negotiations while calmly tossing this particular weapon into the air again and again. The ring of bizzare locations.
This began as simply a normal ring, until two somewhat odd individuals decided to hold a wedding in the middle of a battle zone in the hopes of "boosting morale." Needless to say it proved to be a total failure, but a stray spell struck one of the wedding rings at some point during the battle, giving it a useful enchantment for dodging various attacks during one's wedding.
