Yeah, TBC killed WoW for me and AOC never really grabbed me at all.

I've heard it's yet another WoW clone like LOTR online was, probably even more so. I really hope one of these companies just get sued so they will make an attempt at originality in their next game!
-
Saw a quick vid of it and it looked decent. And WoW + LOTR are no space aged, which would be the only difference.
Too bad I cant play online games like those.

Most of the gameplay elements in WoW that were considered original were lifted from games like Dark Age of Camelot and Everquest.
To be honest im far more looking forward to Darkfall since it promises full pvp everywhere in the game world and full looting of those you kill.
not that any of these games can rival NWN servers for roleplay(anyone ever tried RP on an MMO game?) but sometimes I just want to play a simple game where my interaction with other players is limited to hitting them till they fall over. To be honest if its a WoW clone i'll be quite happy with it for the most part since it seems they have solved the problem of high levels ganking low levels which is part of what drove me away from WoW in the first place.
-
RP in WoW or most MMO's = majority cyboring. Well.. least thats what I've gotten the impression of, either that or laughable pity attempts at RP. Only MMO that did well for any.. I mean ANY serious RP was perhaps the City of Heroes/City of Villains Superhero MMO.
-
yeah if I want to RP i'll come to COA and to be honest i spend most of my gaming time playing on the server. However if you like MMO games that involve pummelling the crap out of other players in battles you could do worse than Warhammer online.
I have only played up to level 5 as a chaos marauder and 2 as a dark elf sorceror but so far im pretty impressed.

Update.
Anyone currently playing the US version?
-
Is this anygood?
-
Very >.>

If anyone missed out on this god damn gem of a game there is a free unlimited trial version available at the moment from http://www.warhammeronline.com
former subscribers are being given 2 weeks full membership for free to check out the changes and im thinking theres every chance that i'll start up my subscription again.
If you are playing on a euro server feel free to add me on xfire my acc is bigpimpdaddy78 -
Nooooooooooooooooooooo. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaad game. I was so wrong in the above post.
-
Personally, I'm waiting for DC Online which, amongst other things, will have no sort of subscription fee and is thus free to play once you buy the game!
-
Best MMO Evaaaar.
wipes the floor with Eve, City of Heroes, WoW and all that other shit!
-
Will have to try it again some time. Last time I played it, first with a Chaos Chosen then Orc "fighter" I got bored of it after a short while. I did not feel "Chaosy" or "Orky" enough.

Did you not see Syntax's post? He's easily one of the most rabid WAR fans (pre-launch anyway) and said it was a bad game. >.>
-
WAR was really good. Then like all MMOs got really really bad. I admit I was wrong. That's proof enough!

This thread made me log in after a few months, it seems.
Very well, I do play Warhammer online (Trial slacker, dohohoho).
However, I am psyched about Warhammer 40k: Dark Millennium instead and thus direct the following question to people who might be reading this:
BATTLE BROTHERS, SPESS MAHRE- no wait that's not a question.
