Lycantrophy

Gives a detailed review of lycantrophy on genaral, it states every lycan's stat bonuses and alignment.
What I need information about is how these lycans differ in behavior, personality, etc.
In short, how to portray them.thanks in advance

You can basically look at the alignments and guess the behavior based off of it. Keep the animal type in mind while doing this and you should be spot on.

Lawful good lycanthropes should be lawful good of course. Should still have animalistic traits though. Pretty sure no DM ever told someones they were being too lawful good, I expect that may be a mis communication, or possibly an intentional misinterpretation, preferably the former.

I think Slippers was being sarcastic/trolling/being a douche.
As for individual lycanthropes- don't be to focused on alignment. Werebears, while nominally lawful good, are loners by nature and prefer solitude and a roll of 'nominal non-interference' because of it. I can see any lycanthrope being any alignment, if you have a backstory to recommend it.
I apped for a chaotic neutral werewolf, and it almost passed (there was some OOC factors preventing me from getting it, but there was nothing wrong with the app itself.)
Here is an example application for an individual werewolf, I was giving the lycanthropic a unique spin, so this would be hardly 'topical' of werewolves, but it fit the theme I was aiming for.
! Enslaved during a scouting trip into Thayan lands, Raumar is a Tribal scout of the Rashemi People. Sent to a Thayan University where they studied Lycanthropy, they managed to infect him with a magically altered strain of the virus, turning him into a monster. However, the changes to the disease were the following: He COULD NOT shift at will, his lycanthropy cannot be spread by tooth or claw (so lycanthropes cannot be created and not controlled by one who was tamed) and REQUIRED the permission of a full-fledged red wizard to do so. Additionally, he possessed a craving for the change and freedom for the hybrid form, and this desire cemented a grudging, hateful loyalty, not to dissimilar an addict has for the only meth dealer in an area and his overpriced goods.
! Arabel is considered his 'field' test by the Red Wizards, to see if such a strain of Lycanthropy can be channeled and used, unlike the much wilder and 'untamed' versions of the same kind. These "Wolves on a Leash" may have possible applications in future campaigns against the Rashemi people, and the enclave in Arabel was tasked by the higher ups to 'make use of him as they see fit' in order to prove whether they were an asset worth investing in. Failure would mean his termination was a guaranteed prospect.
! Further, if he proved successful, he would receive the experimental 'antidote' (that may or may not exist) and would be permitted to live out his life as an ordinary slave in Thay, and not possess the monstrous urges of the beast within. This further cements his begrudging, hateful loyalty.
! However, a spark of rebellious hope remains, and he knows the nature of Thayan politics may well deny him any prospect of freedom, so he will reach out, knowing that since traditional cures will not work, he must look for others that can cure him, and free his thayan chains. As you can see, the werewolf curse became a center piece for the character. When writing a lycanthropic application, tie in the curse/'gift' in every way possible. However, Arabel has it set up that Lycanthropy can be EARNED- and as such, is preferable in the eyes of the DM crew unless starting with it is absolutely necessary (as it was in this case).
Good luck!

It used to be the case that no matter the individual's alignment, they would tend toward the fixed alignment of their lycanthropy type. Is it not anymore?

I think alignment restrictions are stupid when it comes to Lycans, but as per usual dm ruling triumphs.

From what I have seen in PnP rules.. natural lycanthropes can be of any alignment and afflicted (cursed) Lycanthropes end up in a duality situation. While normal they tend towards their natural alignments, yet during the full moon during the curse affliction they tend towards the lycanthropes alignment. Over time this causes issues in the afflicted person trying to rationalize the memory of what they have done when they wake up covered in blood. Now this tends to be more true for the evil aligned lycanthropy afflicted on a good aligned PC. I could see it being less of an issue if the person afflicted was closer to the lycanthropes alignment.

Afflicated lycanthropes and alignment, according to PnP:
Lycanthrope as an Afflication:
"When a character contracts lycanthropy through a lycanthrope’s bite, no symptoms appear until the first night of the next full moon. On that night, the afflicted character involuntarily assumes animal form and forgets his or her own identity, temporarily becoming an NPC. The character remains in animal form, assuming the appropriate alignment, until the next dawn."
"Thereafter, the character is subject to involuntary transformation under the full moon and whenever damaged in combat. He or she feels an overwhelming rage building up and must succeed on a Control Shape check to resist changing into animal form. Any player character not yet aware of his or her lycanthropic condition temporarily becomes an NPC during an involuntary change, and acts according to the alignment of his or her animal form."
"A character with awareness of his condition retains his identity and does not lose control of his actions if he changes. However, each time he changes to his animal form, he must make a Will save (DC 15 + number of times he has been in animal form) or permanently assume the alignment of his animal form in all shapes."
"Once a character becomes aware of his affliction, he can now voluntarily attempt to change to animal or hybrid form, using the appropriate Control Shape check DC. An attempt is a standard action and can be made each round. Any voluntary change to animal or hybrid form immediately and permanently changes the character’s alignment to that of the appropriate lycanthrope."
More than likely, this is not at all how lycanthropy works in Arabel, but, since someone brought up PnP precedents, there is the PnP precedent. It works really well for that "I'm turning into a monster whether or I want to or not, and it's only a matter of time" aspect of lycanthropes.
