Would be nice to have reagents allowing spells that have an HD limit, to have a higher limit. Such as Sleep, which could have a reagent to affect 1HD higher than the limit or maybe even acting as the Deep Slumber spell. It could consume a fairy/fey dust.

RE: Reagent Spells
Certain charms or other items could be used to animate more powerful skeleton warriors, for instance. Others for mummies or ghouls.
That'd be pretty sweet.

RE: Reagent Spells
These things are in the works. A DM suggested them years and years ago, but never bothered to script any of it. So I started it all last night.
Barbarian totems are nearly finished, they're so awesome I want to drop my current PC and make a barbarian and pray I roll a 100 on my special "rage chance" ability I'll have when I find a totem.
That's pretty good news!
Would that be me? I think I suggested the bard, barbarian and ranger (dual wielding in chain shirt) changes in the past.
I actually scripted the barbarian and ranger in a local module, but we never got into a consensus if the change was how we wanted it to be, so it never got out of the ground!

RE: Reagent Spells
Bards could have different bard song's effects based on different tomes, lyrics, score or instruments that could allow different effects like sleep, fear, confusion, stun, deafness, sonic damage and so on.
You could have the same with barbarian rage and different totems, or any other kind of focus item, for different boosts.
For wizardly spells, perhaps different reagents or focus items (tomes, etc) could alter the shape of the spell: a 'finger of death' could be made a cone spell, consuming a bodak's eye, for example.

Interesting. I'm trying Chakan's soundtrack musics while playing. :)

Amulet of Emotions
Chong Tsui was a monk of an unknown Order, who believed that to reach self-perfection, he should get rid of his emotions. He attempted to do it with deep meditation, but frustrated with his failures, he saw fit the use of magic. Chong hired a wizard to perform a complex ritual to bind his emotions into an amulet, and get rid of it forever, but something happened in the ritual, and Chong died in the process. Bards sings tales that noone can live without emotions, but there are those who believe the wizard betrayed him, or that he had indeed reached divinity status, therefore his mortals rests were unnecessary. But in all tales, they agree that the amulet still exists, and the wearer is influenced by Chong's emotions, trying to become alive.

RE: Just for Fun
Very interesting thread. I see very good ideas here.
One of them (and an actual Ilmaterian character from v2) inspired me for this:
Hands of the Martyr
Agamand Lightbinder was a devouted Ilmaterian, who believed that Ilmater would support only those who suffer on his name, something that unbelievers could not benefit. He wanted to help all who hurt, so he ordered this gloves to be crafted, allowing him to transfer the wounds of a target to himself. He was a very tough individual, and could endure a lot of pain. He died using it's power to save someone he loved.
Unique special power/unlimited uses/day:
- Fully heal a wounded target and deals the same amount of damage to self.
I'll try to add a few more when I have the time and creativity to come up with ideas.

Interesting. I'm on the same situation as you and I still can play. I wake up 5 am to work (I work on another city, 2 hours by bus to go there), I study at night (university, college, err… that thing after High School?), and I play sometimes at night (11 pm - 1 or 2 am - doesn't matter, I sleep on the bus) - or just on the weekends.
Anyway, you forgot a lot of people that used to play if you grrr... heck, Elaida and me even rescued your puny corpse from hullack forest once :D
