As a new player I've been building a small list of what I do and do not like of CoA so far.
The good
Tons of things to explore: This town is a lot more bigger than I thought it would be. It feels like an actual city, and a good amount of wilderness as well. Much props.
Enjoyable Roleplay: The roleplay, when I find it, is good. People have their own characters building, things going on, etc. Hard to find RP, either on nwn or other video game platforms, that is enjoyable.
The Bad
Quests: As for me as a new player, there's no introductory quests that help you as a player show you the city. You're kinda just tossed in, and left to explore. You wander about aimlessly, and kind of have to guess which quests you can do or not. There's a lot of broken ones as well, but that's understandable as the server is newly opened and you guys are working on that.
Outdated / still updating info: I like to look up information on servers and the like when I first join them, but as it currently stands, a lot of info is old, outdated, misplaced, hard to find, or irrelevant currently. As a new player, it's intimidating to look for the actual good stuff, like which factions are still active or not, the lists of summoning themes, and things like that. And with a bunch of broken links (when I last checked a few days ago, that is) it's a surmountable task that a new player has to look through to simply understand a gameplay mechanic that they're wondering about.
I am enticed by the server so far, and I know you guys are working / trying your best about what's currently broken. Keep up the good work, I'll be playing around IG for the time being. Thanks for reading.
