And to the override itself

Also, there have been some people not happy with the city lighting at night, or something, and, Savn ses this will fix it.
Open the [cfgnwncq].bat file that comes with the override.
Turn re-texture only on (to do this type 1 then hit enter)
Turn landscapes on (to do this, type A then hit enter) thats a capital A by the way.
Personally, I think this fix has FAR too many drawbacks to be worth doing though. Try it without the fix first, and check the outdoors tilesets, also, check the city at night, with both the fix and without.
So yeah, enjoy this override, the outdoors parts are my favourite.
Oh, yeah, and, V1.2 is out next month, apparently, so, you might wan to wait if you have bandwidth issues. Or something.

Someone said on IRC they dont know how to install overides, sure its somewhere already, but, here.
Open the overide file (it will be a .rar or some kind of compressed file) select all the files.
Open your NWN folder.
Find the folder called 'overrides' and open it
Grab all the files you selected, and drag and drop them into the overrides folder.
Done.
Run NWN.

I'll try this out. But my PC isn't exactly a beast and I can't run NWN with ani-alising and stuff. Will these overrides make the game run slower? Beacuse I can't afford that.
-
I am patient enough to wait for the 1.2 but I saw the screenshots and it looks good. Though, they changed quite much they might not fit in as good on CoA. I mean, Stormhorns for example. It's an Underdark Exteritor Area, right? Is it also filled with huge crystals as in the screenies?

what? roofs! in NWN? GASP

It wasn't really any more laggy for me running this, though I did notice slightly longer loading times (though that may just be me). Nothing serious anyways, and certainly not the lag-jumping some things from 1.69 caused.
The city lamposts are really rather bright though, but removing their brightness also removes some other stuff.
**With "special effects"
**Without "special effects"
**Couple of other screenies
That one with the big rocks is good and bad. One of them sits on the transition, and also they don't disappear with "remove second story tiles" so it can get in the way.
All in all though, the outdoors are really awesome now!******

looks really awesome! some more screenies
-
The cave has a ceiling! And it disappears if you look top-down too! (even with second storey tiles always on)
-
it already is in arabel… you just put the override in your override folder and it does it automatically
edit: and it's likely you realized that coz you deleted your post
edit again: and your post after this one makes it to where i can't delete mine...
-
So downloading…this should make Arabel brand new again
-
Pretty incredible stuff, once I get my main computer up and running I'll download it. Too bad my FPS is already meh in certain areas at max graphics.
-
Hmm…now where did I place that orgasm.

-
Hope its not in the cake.
-
I certainly hope not…after its much better on the top :P

Added to the "Helpful Threads" thread.

Do the buildings and trees fade when you're behind them? The thing I hated most about NWN2 is often you'd load an area and have no idea where you were standing or how to navigate away from the tall building you couldn't see around.
