How to Play in Windowed Mode
-
One player suggested windowed mode to me another asked me how to do it so. I thought I would post it :)
Hope that helps! -
Finally someone posted this, i play in window mode but i dont remember how i set it up and i've had many people asking me how.
Though i think this post is in the wrong section, Off Topic should be the correct one ;) -
It's fine here, i'll even sticky it to make it easy to find

Don't forget to add that Alt-Enter will switch between fullscreen and windowed mode after you've enabled this.
So if there's a lot of action going on and you need a lot of space, hold alt and hit enter to get back into fullscreen. And then you can do it again to go back to windowed!
-
Also you may want to add that you should lower the height and width, as well as changing fullscreen(i think its called that?) to =0

Just thinking if anyone wanted to play nwn in a window, then here's a quick guide on how to do it. (Sorry if this has been posted before!)
1. Open up your NWN.ini file in a text editor.
2.Under the [Display Options], make sure your setting for the game resolution is less than your desktop setting. For example, if you run your desktop at 1024x768, then change this to Width=800 and Height=600. If you don't make it less, it won't work.
3.Add this line again under the [Display Options] section: AllowWindowedMode=1
4.Change the FullScreen from 1 to 0, like this: FullScreen=0
By the way, I got this off of http://www.servantsofmystery.com/fathermatt

One think that could be important to note, and something that has caused me quite the embarassing incident, is that when you hop to and from the windowed mode, the game just might take it as activating a quickslot or similarly clicking.
My perticular incident included the market, namely the kest brothers, and a fireball…
Word of caution, if you intend to play in windowed mode, be prepared for some invoulentary moving around, and be sure to reconsider the first twelve quickslots.

You can also change the size of your window (to some extent) by playing around with different desktop and game resolutions. The size of your actual window is related to the difference between game resolution and desktop resolution.
It is not an exact science, however, and you will have to play around a bit. Also, you lose some handy things like "edge of screen scrolling" in some cases.

I could've swore there used to be a sticky of this… but yeah nice =P

sticky was removed and consolidated at the top with a few other things.
DMs are uncluttering all the stickies.
