Starting Level 6th

Currently an armour on the road is 2k, same with a cloth. Enough or?

Something to consider: it might be a mistake to do this now with the transition to EE. While this is a good idea based on the reaction of the current playerbase but if you consider the new players coming in to try CoA - The string of low level quests is actually a strength of the server, or was. They are a great introduction to new players to keep them busy. All that is required is for older players not to forsake the low levels and mix in with new players to show them around. Jumping in at level 6 is all fine and dandy but that forces new players to also jump into mid level quests which tend to be a lot more challenging without metagame knowledge.

@dinolore Considered that actually, and its probably better that new players don't spend 5-10 hours wandering around level 1-5 with no one to quest with because most people are level 7 or shot through the 1-5 quests in 3 hours because they know them.

So just a thought here I figure might be worth discussing.
What would be the pro's and cons of making it so that all quests can be done at any level-range. And instead of putting the level requirements on the quest giver, we give a difficulty scale (or challenge rating)?

Biggest con is the sheer workload of doing this and rescripting our reward system to adjust for the fact that the rewards for a 14th level PC won't be the same as for a 7th level PC; and the level range between them is so severe that the factoring of challenge becomes almost impossible to do well with limited AI systems.

As a solid "casual / fun characters only right now" player I really like this idea. The power difference between a level 1 / 2 character and a level 6 character is insane when it comes to joining a group for a quest. From my experience, level 1 / 2 are just not fun.
You are very very squishy and one bad role of the dice mean you can easily die. Its very difficult to join parties of higher level characters due to this reason. Level 6 however is great. Your powerful enough to join the party but your not anywhere near the level of a level 9 character.
You still have lots to work for while at the same time being able to jump right into the gameworld. Also, it makes back stories a lot more plausible for an adventurer not native to Arabel. So your a squire who cant take on a single goblin and you left your home city to travel across half the continent to a new city ..... right .... Level 1 can work, but level 6 makes the server more fun and opens up a lot of things.
