I don't know if I am reading into it too much but generally get a bit of passive aggression from this guy, best to see if he sticks around and plays well with others before allowing an app character.

RE: [No]Dinoo/Afyola Elas/Tiefling Subrace Application
@prof-misclick the races not being inherently evil is a big
and seperate discussion perhaps worth having down the road...but as far as I understand right now we're sticking to the standard tiefling are non-good and aasimar are non-evil setting. So we agree it'll have to change?

RE: [EIG]Aliability/ Kayvar Firefist/ Abyssal Summoning Tome
@prof-misclick I agree also, the summoning Tome should be something rewarded over time.
I am thinking with this entire carnival group that they'd be best off with a "rags to riches" approach. Start with a pretty basic and rough setup and reward then with yhe bonuses they seek if/when they bring the awesome

[No]Dinoo/Afyola Elas/Tiefling Subrace Application
Tiefling Subrace Application - Afyola Elas
Tiefling/Paladin/LG/4/Afyola Elas (Which is a fake name, though it'll be her in game one. Her birth name would be Hadley Read)
No special faction perks or background features.
The character will be, obviously, a staunch defender of good, the weak, etc, etc, paladin stuff. I don't really need to go into what should be -expected- of a paladin character, I hope. I've got several years of RP experience, I've read the Complete Paladin's Handbook several times, and I've got a lot of experience both playing & DMing for paladin characters.
I consulted StrayCat before drafting this application, because I wanted to make a character that the server wasn't already flooded with. To that end, she's a Hoarite - A kind of 'no second chances' paladin who is going to act somewhat more harsh than contemporaries, like ilmatari or something else like this. I think this'll bring not only compelling conflict with evil characters / event npcs / etc, but also good interpersonal conflict with other paladins, as it challenges their exact definitions of what law & good are, from someone else's point of view.
Dinoo is my only login name.
As said above, she's a Hoarite, and a Tiefling. She originates from Luskan, and swore herself in to a group of travelling Doombringers after they proselytized that under Hoar, she could find revenge for the being that caused her fiend-blood to manifest. || To touch on this, I'm working under the assumption that the alternate planar origins for planetouched characters are okay - Citing one of the old 2nd edition books, tieflings, aasimar, etc, can come about not only from direct familial relation, but also things like pacts with outer-planar creatures, exposure to planes, etc. In her case, it's because of a fiendish pact that one of her family made in the past. If this doesn't work, it can be altered to just be a familial tie, as it doesn't have that much impact on the overall goal. ||
She'd likely do this by consulting mages, researching fiends, and doing a lot of stuff that could perhaps tempt her to fall in pursuit of revenge, subject to how mean the DMs want to be to me with it. Along the way, of course, she'll do all that she can to aide those in need & uphold the code of Hoar.
I will say also, though I didnt see it on the forum, if there's something that disallows LG / Paladin Tieflings, then the concept still works as a LN fighter, though I think it's a lot less compelling.

[EIG]Aliability/ Kayvar Firefist/ Abyssal Summoning Tome
1. Character: Kayvar Firefist/ Dwarven Sorcerer / CE
2. Application: Abyssal Summoning Tome
3. Who: Aliability / Eno Samuel of the Deliverance, Hillian Palax of the Lower House, Theowyn Hjana of the Spider Elves.
4. Bio: Kayvar was at first a spectator of the Carnevil, his innate interest in the themes being showcased drawing him in. Overtime, little by little, he was roped in over common interests, bringing his own unique brand of firepower to the show. Fire has always run deep in Kayvar’s veins and his obsession to control the element manifested when just a youngster. Now an adult and this element somewhat mastered, Kayvar has turned his attention to something much more aligned to his current outlook in life… The abyssal.
5. Goals:
-
Kayvar will be the groups conjurationist His own performance will revolve around pushing peoples buttons with the summoning and manipulation of abyssal themes. Once we have the facilities, he’ll look to go out and find monsters for his Abyssal summons to tear through as an exhibition of force, tying them up and imprisoning them for performances. This will escalate into inviting members of the audience to test themselves against the creatures he’s able to tear from the Abyss. Challenges of Chaos, he’ll bill it as.
-
The Carnevil are going to be pushing for legal immunity during their shows. This will benefit no-one more-so than Aliability who will flagrantly be summoning abyssal monsters. As such, Aliability will be responsible for obtaining immunity from the Crowns Guard, he’ll be the first port of contact for them. He’ll look to bribe, butter up and convince legal pardon for the entire Carnevil for whatever shenanigans they could hope to get up to.
-
Aliability will forever be on the look out for new abyssal pawns, like Ash Ketchum he’ll be throwing the proverbial pokeball at anything and everything born of the Abyss.
He’ll look to drag the Carnevil and associated members on hunting trips to known hotspots; the Haunted Halls, for example, feels like a likely spot to start.

RE: [Denied]Fire Genasi- PrettySmitten
@puffy kinda just reads like a wiki entry on "typical fire Genasi", don't see anything really different here so based on others comments it's a no from me too
