Alright, I'm gonna be disappearing for a while, so as of now all of my characters are put on hold.
Might be a week, might be a month. Might be a few months.
Probably not forever, but I'm not ruling it out of course.
Literally a communist.
Knows stuff about history.
Paladins of Slaughter, to me, should be people who truly and fully have taken a stock of the world, accepted the fact that there is a metaphysical war going on between concrete forces like Law, Good, Evil, and Chaos, and willingly and wholeheartedly serves Evil and Chaos. For whatever reasons that might be.
Like, in the FR canon you get orders like the Spur Lords of Cyric, for example, who are Chaotic Evil by necessity and serve Cyric. But the way they're written never gives me the impression that they're any less dedicated or single-minded than the devoted warriors serving any other particular god of any other particular alignment.
Just like the approach to Lawful Good might be different between a random Hin villager who just happens to live in a Lawful Good society and a Paladin who has literally dedicated his life to the higher ideals of Law and Good, I'd imagine there's a difference between Johnny-Stabalot the insane CE rogue who just likes to hurt people and the CE Paladin so unshakable in his fervor that he manifests the very power of Chaotic and Evil in his actions.
I'll try to refrain from it in the future
That's cool. Didn't want to stress or anything.
I've been told a LOT of times to keep bothering DMs with stuff if I don't hear back about it. Apologies.
So, if everyone agrees that this probably needs to be changed, and there's no reason not to do it, would a DM with access to editing rights to the original thread do it?
I mean, it's just changing a few strings of text so it should not be a very hard or time-consuming job.
If my above concrete suggestion won't work, change it until it does?
