RE: Inquiry about the Sewers
_The by-now annoyed, and annoying woman returns, this time leaving several books out of order and upon the table, seemingly out of spite and a sense of frustration. How, she asks, can there be such a creature as this, that is upon the Bounty Board, just over yonder, not several buildings away, and yet there is not a single thing written upon it?
She spends some time eventually reading a few notebook scraps by Rolo, presuming, it seems, that if someone ever finds anything they'll bring it to her._
To: The Militia
Following a promise that I have given to Sir Addams, I am writing to inquire as to whether or not there are Militia documents about the death of Hardcastle, and the trial records if they exist about the people who had killed him and Lord Tammarast's son.
I would like to review them to discover the truth of the matter amidst so much lying and black rumor.

P.S. - I am not trying to get anyone fired or bother you overly much, but only discover as much as I can as I was not here at the time and it seems to be turning good people into animals.
The Windrider Volunteers - So good so hip so now
…and will you promise it to me? That we shall bind no man in chains they cannot break, so long as we are peers?
After the recent siege upon Castle Eveningstar, pressing a small host of adventurers hard between the anvil of the Bleeding Moon, and the Maggot Eye clan of warring orc tribes, the true heart of the city's adventurers was lain bare upon the table; what few were there, were enough to assist an entire company of the Purple Dragon Knights, and their heroism told the tale that turned the tide of battle. While meanwhile, the efforts of a small handful of adventurers accomplish daring, bold deeds within the old town against the evil that festers there, giving hope to the poor that soon they might be free again.
Two of those adventurers, Sir Elias Addams of Chauntea, and Nell Copper, Paladin-Errant of Shaundakul, came together with a peculiar conundrum; with the Ministry of Lord Lady Lhal denying Sir Addams, a leal friend of the House Tammarast, the charter to lead a militia within the rising town of Eastway, the situation seemed untenable. However, with the rising problem of orcs from without the city, and the Chaos Brigade gaining ground within the city, there is no doubt that a true force of fighting adventurers is needed to weigh against the tides of evil; to delve into the Hullack and, from it, wrest both the children who have been taken by the Witch-Hags from their families and stored away in some dream-world, and to root out the orcs and lycanthropes of the Hullack that may soon come to threaten the burgeoning village. So too is there needed a force, an adventurer's force, to combat the devils that the Troublemakers will no doubt unleash upon the lands - and to this goodly purpose, the Windrider Volunteers have set their swords.
When the two of them clasped hands, they agreed to form a company with such noble and honorable purpose; defend the weak and helpless, fight the orcs, and to stoically defy those who threaten the freedom and prosperity of the North. Led by the childhood friend of Kyrsten Tammarast alongside one of Lord Lhal's honorary Equerrys of Truth, there seems little doubt that, though the influence of outside forces may be strong in Eastway Village, the champions themselves are of no inclination to fight each other before fighting the threats that press dark upon the country.
All goodly adventurers are called, and men and women of any race who wishes to pledge to the cause are welcomed with open arms.
The clarion horn for heroes and men of true heart has sounded. Will you be the one to answer?
Humans are predominent, but all races are permitted; half-orcs only on a case-by-case basis.
Good, and neutral aligned with some vetting, and a heavy lean towards Chaotic.
Chauntea and Shaundakul take first seat, but any goodly deity could easily find recognition within the Volunteers.

To Peggy [DM]
Dear Chancellor Peggy,
I hope that this letter finds you well and that you are not too troubled by the letters which I have read recently about the Oldtown and the demon which the Troublemaker gang seems to want to summon. It troubles me a little but I have decided that there being nothing I can do about it now I should seek for greater assistance.
Following my successful duel with the Pard, Minister Telrost wrote to me and promised me a certain sum of money, and though it is certainly not my intention to fight evil for coin, that coin, I find, is sorely needed. As she has seemed to go silent of late with the recent troubles, I have included her promissory note. I fear that this time, evil has gained the upper hand, but with this coin I intend to outfit myself again to challenge it directly. I have a great faith that the Helping Hand will guide mine, though I fear that in this case, I must rely also upon the charity and kindness of others, which has so far been great and unceasing.
Yours in service, and in the service of all goodly creatures,
Waywarder Nell Copper, Paladin-Errant of Shaundakul
