RE: Potion Brewing
Not knowing what the preferred chance of finding one is - I find a potion recipe about once every 4 quests or so.

RE: Back for a bit.
Camazotz is just a noob. He still can't balance spawns and has no idea how the DM tools work. What he means by "nice" is inability to produce challenges.
In all reality, him and Tinker are the nicest >.>

RE: Monsters for a new Quest
I'd like to see a colony of swamp woman that kidnapp male adventurers to have their way with them. Afterwords they are sacrificed to their gods in a fertility ritual to ensure more female children. The quest could be set up as a rescue type operation. Tackling the quest with any male pcs in the party ensures a hostile response from the swamp woman and a battle will ensue. Taking all female pcs will open up dialog options where persuade/bluff/intimidate can be employed. Of course failing takes you back to combat or quest failure. The quest could culminate in a fight with the swamp womans god/avatar, a snake headed woman, Medusa or yuan ti type creature. Male pcs could simply attempt to kill the creature, while a female party could again have some negotiation options. Say… sacrificing the kidnap victim and participating in the ritual instead of the rescue.
Someone's been watching Futurama.

RE: If you remember the old Hullack Quest Trilogy…
The how about making shrine 1-6, the middle quest stays 4-8, and make the last one 5+? Or would that make it too easy, and at the same time not resolve the problem at hand?

RE: If you remember the old Hullack Quest Trilogy…
You guys do realise we already have a continuation quest. The Priest from the Tymoran Crypts, is the same one as the one in the Slum Daughter quest. He even mentions several things that explain what and why he is doing things. Perhaps simply add a single quest in between these two, as to make a chain of them. One perhaps level 4-8. That way you have a 1-5, 4-8, and 7+ quest chain.
That being said, the thing I liked most about the trilogy was the magnitude and length of the quest. It truly felt like you were accomplishing and effecting things, and including plenty of people. It was like a DM Mini-Plot in itself, nearly.

The Mongoose Tree!
Yea, sure, making a giant tree that we have no idea about invincible in every way is a great idea!
And so begins the long road to redemption
And you thought dire spiders were bad…
Don't worry guys, I got this one!
The typical altar of doom that was feeding the evil its powers…
Oh! So thats what that button does!
And so the tale concludes. All successful in the end, plus our phat lute!

Spiders, Drow, and Trees!
*Nathan visits the library and inquires as to whether the Library would be interested in a few things. Namely:
And that if they are, if they would be interested in him writing one for them.*
