Honestly I was using the Ahnkeg as an example. I'm smarter now, and I wont be treading foot into the Kings Forest for a while. Health and safety :P

RE: The point.. is having fun
So i expect some serious flame when I say this, especially since this might even sound hypocritical, but death happens even in the most annoying circumstances.
My Pyromancer took a stroll through the Kings forest the other day with a party of 3. Suddenly, out of frigging nowhere an Ahnkeg appeared and paralyzed me. Next attack killed me. There was nothing I could do to prevent it killing me. It wasn't a fun death, but the thing is, that death has made me respect the Ahnkeg massively for it's ability to sneak and kill me.
I actually dont mind the lethality of this server. This is after a massive epiphany I know, but if the server didn't kill you, why would you even prepare? The act of preparing is a critical part of this server. While no one likes to lose, as Spoony said in his series called Counter Monkey, death is part of DnD. As others say, when you get the hand in this server, it increases your survival odds massively! Don't worry, you will survive more when you get more experience!
Keep at it!

RE: Assassination
Yes I…erm... I don't get that statement :S
I like the idea of Assassins that arent just a "Kill you and be done" Since it makes the death of a character that much more interesting. But I still think you can't really be opposed to the murder of others.

RE: Assassination
Its just that, wouldnt moral obligations make an assassin less reliable then a guy who just kills you cold, then gets paid and moves on? I think that feeling regret for your actions doesnt really qualifiy you for a prospective potential Assassin career.

RE: Assassination
I actually find Assassins are hard to play in CoA. Mainly because PvP events where someone actually dies aren't too common enough. Knocking someone out doesn;t scream Assassin to me, you have to kill people. I suppose you can make an Assassin killing important NPC's, but remember that killing Important NPC's isn't walking into the Tymoran Shrine and clicking attack on the poor dude standing there. Like others have said, its less about mechanicaly make a killbot, and more about making this Assassin intruiging. Why does he Assassinate? Who are his primary Targets? Would there be any quirks about him, like calling cards?

RE: Arkham's Inquiries - Storytelling
I find the problem I have is that simply, every person has a story to run with on their character. Especally at this current stage in Arabel, where a lot of people want to see others removed… perminantly. It's two stories conflicting isn't it? In both players stories, they want to see their character truimphant, but obviously both can not win. Since I'm terrible at dealing with server conflict, I'd rather try a lesser conflict story between players. Maybe I just want to "Win", but not all stories shoudn't be about two factions trying to be the best.
Smply, I'd like some storytelling to allow characters who don't wish to be involved in factions, even indirectly, some action. Faction Politics is honestly a bore for me to deal.
