What's this about a civil war?
I've been considering hopping in again. Do we have a post that goes step-by-step over the struggle of installing nwn and setting the game up for CoA on a newer machine?

Stop derailing my post. Its about sunshine, rainbows, unicorns and happiness. :) The good thing is that I seem to recognise everyone answering this post so far. That's nice.
Banned!?
What ever would lead you into such a wicked conclusion! ;)
40's, thats a nice bit more than I was expecting! Might have to crawl in game one of these days again. The call of CoA is strong as ever!
Its nice to stumble upon this place after a year of absence from the fascinating world of internet and see its still going. WTF is happening with these forums though. I am not a big fan change, unless its in the form of pocket money.
Are there still players online daily? What kind of factions are rolling about? Is anyone doing anything to find a successor for nwn?
I'm gonna echo Dick on this one. An Oghman character who takes 'knowledge is power' to a whole new extent. A character focused on amassing a fortune through trade of information. Hire informants, barter stuff forwards. Not only will this be a cool character IC, you'll also OOCly be creating lots of fun when you'll be the fellow that involves dozens of characters in different plots.
Another approach is the Siamorphan mix, an educated snob that believes the power to belong not to the people, but to the fair few who have a grasp of knowledge. Maybe a supporter of magocracies, too.
