Those files are archives with a 'rar' extension, usable with WinRar. Downloadable at http://www.winrar.nl/ (i know its dutch, but should work)
Or use the internet to find it :)

Edit: Move this to another forum so that i won't have my posting privileges revoked >_>'

Get 7zip, it handles all the archive files out there, and it's completely free.
All you have to do is install it and open the archive files. From there you can just drag them into your portraits folder.

or get 7zip from portableapps.com so you don't even have to install it. ;)

Okay, I guess it's for advanced useres.

If some poor English shows up in this post: and you're an English teacher, language-patriot or simply kind; please correct me. Thanks.

I'd recommend that you limit yourself to… say 100 extra portraits. Otherwise it'll spend 10 minutes just loading all of them IG when creating a char. Every single time. Not something you'll want. Unless you have a new badass PC that deals with that in seconds.

It'd have to be able to run Crysis.

Anyway, I don't tend to use any portraits but the standard ones. I haven't downloaded any, and I like it better that way; ANY person can see what my character should look like.

I hear you can put the portraits in the override folder too. They won't load when making a character, but they still appear on other people's characters. So what you could do is just browse through the packs, find one or a few you like, and dump the rest in the override.
