After I've read the latest discussions around the forums It made me think why not make a thread where people would put some situations where they would like a DC and the DM's could put the DC's for them and even when there are no DM's around and if those situations or some similar arise this will be here for people to consult. This way there won't be all this talk about rolls anymore.

Uhm. Since rolls can only be enforced by DMs I don't see how a list of situation and DCs would settle the matter.

So, I would say "no thanks" roll if you wish, accept the roll if you wish, but let DM decide if and when a roll is needed and needs to be accepted.

        My 2 cents.

If Chuck Norris had performed in 300, the film would be called 1.

DC's are set by DM's because they are like a neutral observer. And a DM will need to enforce something only if the players are some kind of barbarians that only respond to fear but this thread is for civilized people that would consider the DM's wisdom even when they aren't there so please if you don't have something constructive to add please refrain from useless comments. Thank you.

Sorry, but this just isn't going to happen.

Have to say i hate rolls they are mostly used by those that invest in pursuade but never rp pursuading peaple as for setting dc's how is it even remotely possible as each and every situation is different.
But if you play a silvertongued character that has invested points into a social skill then if you are asked for a roll as your rp has been good enough for the other player to ask for one then your skill points stand out.

He expressed an opinion and as this is a general discussion not a sugestions forum his view is just a valid as anyones.

And they are usually avoided by people with 8 cha and 8 wis.

That said the DM hath spoken.

I'm quitting Barabus Fen, he was a character I made for the election and in retrospect I should have quit him after the result as you can only wander around insulting Verks clergy robes for so long before it gets old.
