Things ain' fun where I live at the moment

There's been a rather large shooting incident where I live, leaving 12 people dead and another 11 injured. My daughter works for the police and was on duty. My wife is a paramedic and knows some of the people involved. I work, from time to time, in the schools in Whitehaven, Seascale, Gosforth, Egremont where these shootings took place. I was in these places last week. My collegues were there yesterday. These are quiet village and town communities. We don't expect to see people lying in the street, dead from gunshots.
If you pray, pray for us, and our community, we could really do with it now. After the coach crash last week where two kids died from our community, this has really hit us hard.

A thing like that really affects a close knit communites like those. I'm so sorry to hear about it and I hope the friends and family of those affected will pull through. I'm sure they'll have the support of the people around them.
Our thoughts are with Cumbria right now.

Praying for you as well. I know such things are hard even to believe but it doesn't make your town a worse place… I dare to say there's a chance to bring people closer to each other, as it's rather hard to handle alone. That's what I pray for today.
