Anyone think this guy sounds like a modern day Phil Collins?

Band called "Gotye." Not really sure what I think about the lyrics, I don't relate.. However, the beat and the song itself, man I can't help but think Phil Collins. I find myself, for the first time in my life, addicted to a song I don't relate to. Purely for the sound, the voice, and the accompanying vocals. Great song IMO!

There. I shared music. You should love me for it. <3

      BAI~!

      Wark!

Reminiscent of Peter Gabriel too, definately worth listening too.

Given that Peter Gabriel and Phil Colins were both in Genesis, it's not surprising that they generate similar music!

          But, yeah. Good music.

            Mind you,

            This is much better.

Lyrics are a little too emo for my taste, but I still dig the hell out of this tune.

                  pops out of nowhere

Kimbra is amazing. Probably because she's a kiwi.

Extremely reminiscent of Phil Collins in lyrical composition, i.e. "I Don't Care" and "In the Air Tonight", and very similar style of singing to Peter Gabriel in "Mercy Street" and "Red Rain".

I cannot stop listening to it.

It's just a nice breath of fresh air when a new artist comes along and has a damn good set of pipes on him/her. Too many artists nowadays rely on those damn auto-tuners and cheap parlor tricks to "sing guud."

Both Gotye and Kimbra are great new voices, so this makes me happy.

Gotye is an Aussie, has been steadily piling up fans and acclaim over here over the past few years. Got some good tunes, but haven't heard much from the new album. This one is a favourite from some years back.
