Golin and Balin died before the altar of Auril

Well it wasn't programmed as the final event of the life of the Forkbeard but we saw it as fitting.
As a proper musical tribute to the last Forkbeard joint attack to the High Priestess of Auril (Frost Giant) I thought this to be fitting.
Golins slowly rising and leaping forward to grapple the giant's legs and Balin punching it before being mauled to death.
At least the Forkbeard managed to give the opportunity to the others to run away (and I see to slaughter the giants afterwards).Uncle Goran Forkbeard and auntie Helga would have been proud of them.
Started as a couple of no-pretence characters whose goal was to become rich and famous, they turned out to be quite fun to play, more than what we originally thought.
In successive RP session we developed a deeper knowledge of them: Balin'sirascibility, his travel songs (Beer!Beer!Beer!) and extreme love for good alcohol;
Golins fear of the trees, and love for enigmatic dwarven jokes ("An elf asks a dwarf: do you prefer mithril or gold?" "Har har har har").Their common distrust for the wizards, their "wizzer disguise" (wearing a cloak) to try to lure goblins while walking the roads, their Thayan friend (Adella), the hate of half-orcs (snouts) and distrust of the elves (tree-huggers-wield-bowers) and their love of gobo-slaugthers.
I'd like to thank AmyVeln/Chris_a_gogo for the fun run and look for more RP fun in the next days/weeks with him.
More screenshots of the aftermath will be posted as soon as possible, including the only fight where a CoA character fought against two ADULT DRAGONS at the same time (well, actually it was two of us and then one who resisted for quite a bit).
Thanks Abby & Count for the last final moments of the Forkbeards, dwarves without a clan.
A fine and fitting death, even if we lacked ale in our last moments (well not really we drank in the afterlife!). -
We lit a fire to warm the frosty Altar. Carried the fallen to the Shrine in Thunderholm and drank some seriously strong "special" dwarven ale in their memory.
To us the massive strike in the Thunderpeaks was a sign of Moradain's anger with Auril. A true "Hammer of the Gods".

After the death the two dwarves are in a plain with other dwarves, at their feet a proper set of dwarven war-stuff!
Then a fight between souls starts….
… a dragon appears and is suddendly critted!
Must have been the ale, I see two dragons now!
Balin is the first to go into Moradin's realm, and Golin follows after having resisted a few rounds against two dragons …
in Moradin's realm they get what they deserved. Ale.
