After the past few months of playing on and off of CoA, and NWN for that matter; I notice the player-base has dropped DRAMATICALLY. Hopefully the cap's in dramatically push the point home.

I'm not sure how possible it is or if it's even an option, BUT; what are the odd's of CoA and EfU merging into one server to potentially double the player base? It would make a significant matter to me, and I'm sure many others to see a larger PC player base IG. Everything from the initial login to the the server, PC interactions, PC plots etc etc. I just think nothing but good could come from a merge of the two servers for a dying game. Let's hear you're thoughts. <3 Gooners

The odds of the servers merging are about as likely as CoA merging with CoW or Mystara or any of the other hundred off-shoots of CoA like EfU.

They left coa to make efu for a reason after all.

You don't fix a dying game by killing out diversity.

While Efu is shares a great deal of similiarties to CoA and has a lot of former CoA players, the server's setting and storyline are completely different along with the fact they have their own custom scripts like we do. Combining both servers as they are would be a lot of work and I am not sure if such a move would be welcomed by the player bases of the respective servers.

Efu has a larger playerbase but a community more orientated to a 'hardcore' ruleset. 80% of what remains of CoA want the game to be easier.

                Won't work.

Good idea that will never happen. Having given EFU the time it deserved for the first time a few months back when I actually had time to play, I have to say I like the players there a lot, and the dms while I had little interaction with them in the month or so I was there seemed as easy to talk to as the dms here are.

I do however respectfully disagree with BG's post, I think that EFU overall is an easier server until you get involved in pvp. When you kilt there, you dead or raised. Oddly enough, with such a tight rule on pvp there is a lot less whining when you loose there. If there is one key difference between the servers, its that most of the efu players seem to be able to say "ok, this dudes dead, on to the next."

Perhaps that is what I was trying to say. Death is treated in a way I agree with and the playerbase is slightly more mature in the sense that alot more of their players accept the inevitabilities/consequences of death. Just the right amount of detatchment from a character to be able to just let them go.

As to difficulty, I do personally find CoA easier than EfU. Its just different.

I had the opposite impression from EFU diffculity wise; way less hand holding and a trip outside the settlement without being properly prepared can lead to your death. Still, its rewarding in its own way
