Bows and woodworking

  • Ironically, bows are crap in woodworking but great in boneworking. I suggest making wwoodworking equivalent of the bows available in boneworking Requiring same skill level. (ironwood for dire croc and so on)

  • Here's the summary of all the crafted bows:

    Woodworking:

    • Oak Longbow:
Attack Bonus vs. Racial Group: Undead +1
      Decreased Saving Throws: Fire -1
      Mighty +1

    • Occasio Longbow:
      Weight Reduction (80%)
      Cast Spell: Truestrike (5), 2 Charges/Use
      Mighty +2
      21 Charges

    • Yew Longbow:
Attack Bonus vs. Racial Group: Outsider +1
      Decreased Saving Throws: Fire -1
      Mighty +2

    Boneworking:

    • Animal Bone Longbow:
      +1 AC vs Animal/Beast, +1 ab vs Animal/Beast, Mighty +1

    • Dire Animal Bone Longbow:
      +2 AC vs Animal/Beast/Magical Beast, +2 ab vs Animal/Beast/Magical Beast, Mighty +2

    • Cormyrian Mountain Bear Bone Longbow:
      +1 AC, +1 ab, Mighty +4

    • Albino Crag Cat Bone Longbow:
      50 Charges, Lesser Dispel (5) 2 Charge/Use, +2 AC vs Magical Beast/Shapechanger +1 ab, +2 ab vs Magical Beast/Shapechanger, +2 Magic Damage, +1d4 Magic vs Magical Beast/Shapechanger, Mighty +4, 5% Magic Vulnerability

    • Dire Crocodile Bone Longbow:
+2 ab, Mighty +5, +2 Saves vs Poison

    • Goblin Bone Longbow:
+2 AC vs Goblinoid, +2 ab vs Goblinoid, Mighty +2

So, boneworking should be better because it's harder to make and more expensive than woodcrafting, but we could have more woodcrafting bows, like Sussur and Ironwood.

  • Also, Wood does not fight back when you hack them apart for their parts...
