    Blacksmithing is one of the crafting styles that can be selected in City of Arabel.

    How to use the crafting system

    • Only one crafting style can be selected per character and you cannot unlearn a style once you choose it (without the assistance of a dm) so be careful when choosing one.

    • Crafting styles can be selected in your character's crafting menu (accessible via your radial menu)

    • When choosing a crafting style, your PC will receive a crafting book in its inventory, you can use this book for various things, necessary for crafting.

    • Use the book on your PC in order to get a list of recipes you know, as well as what your crafting skill is currently at. The list includes materials needed to make an item, and the difficulty rating to make the respective items (difficulty goes down as your skill goes up).

    • Use the book on a recipe to add it to your list of known recipes. Note that this consumes the recipe, but will only work on the right recipes (you can't add woodcrafting recipes in your blacksmithing book for example)

    • Use the book on an item made using the crafting system to make a recipe of that item so that you can add it to your recipe book, or give it to someone else (note that this will only work if you have ink, a quill and blank paper in your inventory, furthermore your skill needs to be high enough that the item in question would be of normal difficulty or lower to make).

    • To craft an item, you need to find a crafting station in game and put the listed materials in it, while standing near the crafting station type
      .craft (name of item)

    • If the item is not of difficulty Effortless to craft, there is a chance that you will make a mistake while crafting and destroy a material, be careful, that chance is higher the harder the item is to make. As long as the item is not of difficulty effortless to make, you have a chance of increasing your skill when making it, however that chance gets lower the easier the item is to make as well.
