Next concept!

So with the influx of Warforged, I'm starting to feel pressured into conflict that I have no interest in as a druid. It's not just the Warforged - it's that many of those players will ultimately target nature and I think that if I do nothing, I will start being penalized.
So, polling for next concept!
First option survived the poll massacre.
Second option is an abjurer-transmuter who tries to get the Spire wards up again and stabilize the portals.
Third option is a dragon-worshipping berserker, do-gooder extraordinaire. I expect that to die fast, but to punch someone evil.
Fourth option is a non-evil minion, which should be detailed in your post -
Whats a Non?
And if you don't like Jon anymore, take a couple warforged to the grave with you.
There is absolutely no shame in death for the cause your character represents, but retiring because you won't fulfill the obligations to your concept (Druids are really stringent) that would be a shame.
-
Conflict doesn't mean PvP and PK, you know. You could try to change the laws, demand the warforged process be reversed and they become human again, or locked up somewhere, or sent away to lantan or some such where they are welcome, as long as they are not in Arabel.
-
Well, I'm one of those Warforged, and let me tell you - I'm not a big fan of PvP! Also, this:
Regarding Druids & Warforged:
Druids believe them to be wholly unnatural, representing the worst aspects of innovation in the removal of oneself from the natural cycle though, again, there are degrees of emotion regarding this. The more militant will often drive away Warforged from their forests and groves, while the more peaceful and placid will simply offer them the safety of rest, but ask them to leave in good time.
No need to feel shoehorned into conflict. Yes, others may urge you to do so, but your character's actions and motivations are determined by you, not them.
-
@Polaris I know that is impossible from an OOC stance. I don't want to ruin other players' options and achievements, assuming I succeed, which I won't. It's lose-lose.
@Arkham-Warlock My PC actually doesn't mind WF under the stipulations Ophirae presented. The issue is that most of those who are playing Warforged are going to specifically target for conflict with natural PCs, because their nature is the same thing that let them become WF. And I have no one to back up to conflict in my place.
-
Ugh. Don't use hyphens in polls... I'll go edit the original post.

That's a terrible suggestion. If you don't like your character anymore, retire. Don't kill other people's characters because you're bored of your own >.<
-
Well in the 4 player types I did identify as a killer after all.
In my mind, to certain concepts the warforged might as well be baatezu from the nine hells.
-
Don't listen to Dog I talk him out of a massacre twice a day.

Its true =(

Not my point, my point was that if he's bored of a character and wants to retire, just retire. Don't take other people's characters with you in a kamikazi run, that's just being an absolute dick.
If you're NOT tired of a character and want to PvP them, go nuts, totally different scenario

I think he was being facetious.

You're missing my point. You may not be neutral on the matter, so you are taking a stance; Yes, you may not win, but so what? Who appointed you grand druid of Cormyr, that you need to take some massive uprising against the warforged? Are you expected to confront every unnatural thing that exists? Because if you did, you'd need a lot more than a human lifespan >_>
I'm just giving you an option to show that yes, you are against it, but even if nothing comes of it, ICly, you have not done "nothing", you just haven't done anything violent, which is fine; No one said you need to get violent. Make your stance, then just play your PC.
Why do you feel like you HAVE to get up in their face or you are not a "good" druid? It's not anyone's play to decide how to play your PC, but you. Even if you do something wildly un-druidy, a DM will just pull you aside, and talk to you, see if the situation can be understood. That's really it.
Now, if you are BORED of your PC and want to move on, that's fine; But there are plenty of ways to keep playing your PC.

As with dogs, as with druids. Some will bite you, some will snuggle you, and all of them hate cats. Whether they kill the cat though is a matter of degrees. ;)
-
Whatever you do, make it Wyvernspurrrr we are like zero pvp and all fun!
-
Funny that you mention that, Gumba. You saw how Edith responded to Jon, right? ;)
-
Yuuus you are welcome to be with us!
-
Maybe I just need that kind of nonsense to make it so logging onto Jon is no longer a chore.
-
Wyvernspur does have some traditional ties to the hullack I believe.
