Last Hurrah.

Well, it's that time. The time when people see that they're not having fun.
Some people here maybe know me, others don't, I can't boast of any accomplishments. Maybe by CoA's standards I'm just a mundane player.
I've found that this server requires a commitment, patience and understanding that I lack.
Here are some player and the characters of theirs that I've had a lot of fun with while I was playing here.
SorcerousSuccubus's Sian Parkin:
I don't know if this advanced my character Shani's personality any, but I had fun playing with you. I had fun bringing drama to the whole thing and I can only hope you did to. If you didn't, my apologies.
Relonor's Nathaniel Reyn:
A character I never was able to fully understand. A real joy to interact with, a real charming character that I enjoyed RPing with, both with Shani, and Fyevarra.
Batsy Bellfry's Yasha Meric:
Although I admit I could've been on and seen a lot more from this character, the time I was able to RP with the player was also, something I found a lot of fun. A more casual character (in personality), opposed to the seriousness of most others.
Countcyrillus' Bertie Farmer, Valerian Ballard and Theodore De'Vaul:
You certainly know how to portray the knight in all of these three characters. While some ended prematurely due to some reason or another, it was always a pleasure to interact with them. And especially the depth they all shared.
Ramhad's Zar Kaelas and Lord Gabriel Kalindor:
Zar the mage always fitted my image of a mysterious stranger, a dabbler in the arcane who not only enthralled with his mystique, but surprised with more than simple command over big explosions. Well played, Ramhad.
Then there's Gabriel Kalindor, a fierce kind of leader, the kind of good guy all the baddies just hate, and all the goodies tolerate. The way the player jumped from seriousness to jibes (OOC or IC) joyfully reminded me of a real person, who at some times thinks business and at others likes to crack a joke and laugh for a bit.
Three Guesses's Terenshan Imbault:
One of the few players who cared to delve a bit into the "obvious" stereotype I'm fairly certain those who remember Shani thought she was. I hope I haven't disappointed and shown that there-was-indeed some depth behind this mundane occurance.
WriterX's Deron Galloud, Dredo Grenesen:
Although I can't say I ever RPed with these two a LOT, as much as I did , it definately left a good taste in my mouth. Well thought-out , well portrayed individuals , both showing either power, or mystery.
I'm sorry if I leave anyone out of this list, it's impossible to keep track of-everyone-. To anyone who's had fun playing with me and my characters, believe me…I had fun too.
Now , for the DMs.
Gmork and Tinker:
I gave you some headaches, but trust me, those where just momentary madnesses, I enjoyed the well-crafted and thought-out events that you provided. I can name a few occasions where I've been out of line, and for those, I sincerely apologise.
ParasiticNematode:
I never seemed to have good luck on your events, and I suppose at certain points I guess it piled up enough for me to stupidly blame you for it. While I think some of your policings on Paladin behaviour may be a bit harsh and outright wrong, I wouldn't pin you as a bad DM by any means.
Tephriditae:
Hope I spelled it right...I haven't seen this particular DM around for along while. The few events of Teph's that I've been party of, I dare say where my favourite. They left me with a sense of completion, and I felt like I contributed to the party's success and added to the fun for DM and player alike. Makes me wish you where around more often.
Mr. Moloch:
By far, the one DM, who at times I've thought has a bone to pick with me. Believe me, players, nothing annoys, hurts and discourages a player more, than to have a DM tell him that his character was no good, that some other player was better than them. It's unfortunate that I had to hear these things from Mr. Moloch. However, I feel, and always have felt, that he is for the most part wrong in his deduction.
Sometimes I feel his behaviour borders favoritism of players that are exclusively part of his plots and factions. If that's true or no, I can't quite say, but from my point of view, things stand like that.
At other times, there is the nigh-incomprehensable restrictions that he places. I've always wondered, why one cannot donate a vast sum of gold to some temple, and actually have some kind of impact on the quality of the temple's services etc. Why at some times where NPC assistance makes perfect sense, he expects the characters to do the high-level, veteran NPC character's jobs for them. It is understandable, that he wants the players to work for their goals, but personally, I disagree that the players should be the ONLY ones working to achieve that goal. When the players are in essence working for someone else, the least bit I would expect is the NPC lending a hand in some way or another.
Not everyone has the capacity to be a politician, to promote very complex intrigue successfully on CoA. I, for one, am not such a one, I admit. Though does that mean that I am a bad player? No, I believe not.
While common sense is hard to set in stone, in a setting full of magic, that defies the laws of the world as we know it in Real Life, the mentality of human/elf etc beings, as we can portray it: is exactly the same as ours. Every human being is different, some are vengeful, others are mild.
In the end: our characters are what we want them to be. A DM should not discourage a character from taking decisions, that would make sense for their personality.
And now, comes the conclusion of this discourse on my departure from CoA.
I had a good time here...but I can't say it was because of the DMs, definately not. It's CoA's playerbase that kept me here and gave me some measure of enjoyment from playing.
So, this is it. Last Hurrah. I wish all the players many more exciting adventures IRL and IC.

Who were you? Cause while your venomous diatribe was funny, I can't recall having ever interacted with you or judged you. Funny.
Ciao though.
I'm locking this because really, your dirty laundry doesn't need to be aired on our community forum. If you have a problem with me, you can talk to me about it.
