Do we go Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition?
Basically, Beamdog is making this new spiffy upgrade to our current EE. It's backwards compatible, but the diamond edition servers will not be able to play on Enhanced Edition Servers without an upgrade.
Basically, if we upgraded, you will need to get the enhanced edition.
We're probably gonna do it, but we figured it'd be nice to ask the players first.

I'll play CoA whichever edition it's running on.
Makes little difference to me but if EE is seen as being significantly better technically for CoA, I wouldn't have a problem moving over.

I plan to get the EE anyway, so long as having a third party installer isn't an absolute requirement (Getting it from GoG or soemthing would be ideal). The old linux port doesn't really work well with modern distros and even under Wine I have a few issues with the game, so better compatibility would be super welcome.
Besides, it's like going to be what, 20 dollars? I don't really see a downside to this aside from whatever work needs to be done to transition the module/database/whatever to the new engine.

Yes, Server Listing working again will allow more people to find the server and play on it, If theres also a Hak Installer built in it'll make things easier too

I don't know. But if you lot, who -work- for us a lot want it, I'll say yes without too many questions. (Okay, questions will eventually surface... After voting, that is.)

If it's packing all the benefits it claims too, cool. I'll probably buy the new edition when it comes out anyway.

I said 'other' because I am not 100% certain it'll run on my laptop.

I voted "Yes" because I am excited at the prospect of a graphics improvement in the form of Haks. I have no idea what I just said, but I have heard those words strung together in a similar order before. So yes.

Where do you buy this enhanced neverwinter nights?
I assume this will inject some new blood into the dried out husk of NWN1 as well. How nice.

What's the reason for Strife's objection? Would be interested in hearing it.
Yes, @Strife-and-Discord what is your reasoning for not wanting to go ahead with EE?
Where did he say he's against it?

Yeah, zool, we can, after 7 years, once more see who voted what. No more anonymous votes.
I used to sneakily manually check the data base to find that out, no need now!

I'm pretty sure you don't have a choice? I don't think 1.69 and EE will be cross compatible. If people holdout and refuse to buy it, their loss, say farewell and move on.

How much of the current DM staff are moving over with the server to an EE server? I've seen talk among the Facebook group of rogue factions running off to do their own thing? I would hate for the jump to be made, a promise of renewed interest, but then the entire thing just fizzle.
We're still talking, really.
