Axe of the Returner
This solitary throwing axe, when thrown, exhibits a very curious enchantment. Instead of striking it's target head on, it will always vear off, damaging them with a glancing blow at best, before flying full circle back to it's wielder. Probably commisioned by a weedy barbarian whom simply didn't have the strength to carry around a bag full of throwing axes, the axe also has a tendancy to distract the thrower upon the return, making it far more difficult for them to concentrate on the throws of battle around them

Madness
Cyric does enjoy playing his sadistic games, it's said. This sword is a remnant of one such tale, which begins in waterdeep. Sir Pomfry, a minor noble of the city, truely lived for the noble art of dueling. He spent most of his waking hours challenging and besting some of the finest duelists to be found, yet he had a problem. It wasn't too long before the community of sport fighters in Waterdeep were tired of going up against his superior skill and often sustaining terribly painful injuries.
Sir Pomfry was distressed, yet one night he was approached by a cowled figure. This man professed himself a priest of Cyric, and pledged to give Sir Pomfry something that would allow him to continue his passion unhindered. Sir Pomfry agreed, and after donating a considerable amount of his family fortune to the priest he was given this sword. On striking an enemy, the blade will automaticly heal any cut it inflicts upon it's enemy. Sir Pomfry delighted in using his new blade, and took every oppertunity to take part in lengthy duels with other duelists in Waterdeep.
One night, however, Sir Pomfry was awoken in the middle of the night to the sounds of wrustling downstairs in his estate. Sure of bandits or thieves, he took his trusty blade in hand and headed downstairs. The cyricist, it seems, had tipped off these men as to Sir Pomfry's now defencelessness. With only the cyricist blade in hand, he was unable to fend off his attackers and quickly slain. The blade was likely taken by the bandits, along with what remained of Sir Pomfry's fortune.

Conflict
Commisioned by the head of an unknown Thieves Guild in order to quash a mutinous rebellion within the ranks, it certianly did it's job. When he wielded it, he methodicly slaughtered any of his former brothers whom swore allegiance to the new power within the guild. The master realised his mistake, however. He learned almost too late that should he carry on, soon there would be nothing of a guild left to control. In distress, he commisioned the creation of another blade, dubbed Resolution.

Rumours persist that this blade was commisioned to be created by a furious Theives Guild leader, whom sought a peaceful solution to a three month long conflict with unloyal men in his ranks, wishing to instill a new leader. Most of his men, and all he had built were dead. What remained were a handful of men loyal to him, and his rival. He used this sword to strike a bargain with his rival, and the guild was reformed. The whole conflict left him weakened and tired, however. Conflit and Resolution is a painful and long process. Shortly thereafter he was betrayed, and the guild now flourishes under the command of his former enemy.

Eye Taker
Barbed, mennacing and of clear orcish design is this spear. Easily a length and a half the size of an average man, it's clearly too cumbersome to be used by anyone other than orcish blood. Tales say this spear was forged and enchanted by brothers devout and true to Gruumsh. They wared and campaigned against elven settlements and lands.
The tip of the spear has three tiny barbs upon it, seemingly to facilitate some tugging motion. Indeed, the faithful of Gruumsh used these spears to repay the children of Corellon for taking the eye of their lord. Although cumbersome and difficult to use, they perform their intended purpose well. On striking the eyes of an enemy, they can rip, tear, or outright pull the eyes straight from the sockets.

Gnomish Trout of Slappage
Gnomes. Ah, gnomes. Take a dozen gnomes, a workshop full of tools and add a keg of dwarven. The Gnomish Trout of Slappage, or something equally rediculous, is likely to be the end result of such a combination. Formerly a trout, it is now filled inside with various mechanical contraptions. The use is quite clear. On flipping a switch located at the tail end of the fish, the head begins to move back and forth virilantly, indicating a slapping motion. When brought into contact with the face of any humanoid, it's far more likely to make them break down in hysterics than to do any sort of damage. Sadly, not many people understand gnomish humour, so it's not nearly as effective on other races.

Staff of the wanderer.
This old quarterstaff was a gift to the a man known only as the Wanderer. Legends say that the wanderer was an old harper, servant of Shaundakul, who delivered messages from harper to harper, always alone. This staff was made by an unknown druid of Akadi, after being saved from an animal companion gone mad.
The druid enchanted it to make its carrier resistant to both wind and weather, to shine light on the darkest paths, and to call upon the winds, when in dire need.

Bracers of the Dragon Queen
When un-strapped, these bracers appear to be made of tiny scales the color of the five most common metallic dragons. They tightly cover the entire forearms, with five twising slender horns emerging from the pattern, and snaking up to the hands. Towards the upper arms, the pattern of scales frays to reveal five twising tails that cling tightly to the skin, almost as if alive. The insides of the scales appear to be covered by a thin layer of adesive skin, occasionaly showing tiny glands.
Cultists of Tiamat, the Dragon Queen, in Chessenta are rumored to have forged these bracers to submit newly converted or captured sorcerers to the will of the Dark Lady. Once strapped on, the tails of these bracers come alive, and painfully work their way into the bearer's upper arms until they reach the bone and muscles. In some cases, this causes a nervous shock slaying those unfit for the Dragon Queen's splendour. New recruits to be trained to become warrior sorceresses of Tiamat are then clad into heavy full plate armor to supress the use of magic while they are trained in the faith and their new role of a warrior sorceress. As a gift from the Lady, the bracers greatly facilitate the use of even the most heavy armor, causing it to magically attach to the bearer like a tight-fitting second skin.
However, those who fail in their duty to the Dark Lady, or show unseeming hesitation, have the bracers forcefully removed in order to pass the Lady's judgment. The shock and pain endured while the bracers are taken off are even more extreme, causing many failed converts to die on the spot. Once loyalty is thus ensured, proven converts are allowed to remove the heavy armor and once again practice their arcane arts to please the lady. Particularly devoted followers are sometimes rewarded with armors other than the heavy plate, allowing them to continue pleasing her with their magic, while enjoying some of the physical protections of scalykind.

Two sides of the coin
These two rings were once created by a very fanatic and fun loving halfling priestess of Tymora. She was tired of people claiming to truly trust their luck and trust in Tymora. Because of this, she created two rings, the two sides of the coin. One is cursed, making its wearer truly unfortunate. Because Tymora preaches that you shall wear your misfortunes proudly, and trust in Tymora to get you through the day regardless, this ring was planted on the faithfuls left hand. The rule was, one week of misfortunes while in a constant state of adventuring, and you had truly shown yourself a faithful.
The other ring, was made as a reward for those who got through the week, having the power to both remove the curse, and to grant its wearer extra luck, in the days to follow. Once you had earned both coins, rules said that you should seek adventure, and when not needing the second ring any longer, should pass it on to the next priest to be tested. Because of this, these two rings have seen quite a bit of adventure, and have travelled all across Fearun.
Due to deaths and other happenings, another priest later placed a locater spell linking the two rings, to avoid the artifacts getting lost.

In His Name
Suffer. Eskibal was a particularly sick and twisted necrophant of Velsharoon, whom held a particular grudge against Ilmater and created this armor out of some perverse fantasy to truely test Ilmateri and their devotion to suffer In Ilmater's name. It's basic design is that of a half plate armor, with steel plates underneath the true masterpiece. All along the length of the breast plate, legs and arms of the armor lays streched skin and skewed, boneless heads. The skin is decaying, rotting, and the flattened faces and mouths upon the armor truely give it one of the most hideous sights you could ever hope to lay your eyes upon. The most disturbing thing, however, are the low moans, groans and screams that eminate from the seemingly sentient faces that have been stiched onto the armor.
Eskibal had killed several Ilmaterian priests and, though the process is still known in detail, managed to animate their boneless corpses after having their skin attached to the armor. Though not alive, and feeling no true pain, he took great pleasure in listening to their screams. For others to hear these sounds is particularly un-nerving, yet the skin causes the armor to be particularly suseptable to piercing strikes.

Wyrms Bane
This staff was once held by a wizard of Bahamut, whom hunted chromatic dragons without relent, and without mercy. The staff itself is large, having once been created to aid a weedy ogre. Travelling all around Toril, he slayed a considerable amount of younger wyrms, before one day meeting his match when faced with a cunning and ancient red dragon.
Having known the dragon slayer was passing through the area, the dragon set up a cunning trap and ruse to catch him. Through polymorphing, he managed to meet and convince the dragon slayer of an adolescent red dragon which made home atop mountain ranges near the village where he stayed. Steely and resolved, the dragon slayer travelled to the cave with his cohorts and quickly found this dragon to be no mere youngling. The dragon slayer and his cohorts were quickly overpowered by the immensly powerful dragon, whom then proceeded to feast upon his remains. How this staff found it's way from the dragon to you, however, will likely remain quite the mystery.
The staff itself is enchanted to protect against some of the more common forms of draconic assault, and also assist in penetrating their thick, spell turning hides.

Plinkadink's Scoped Snipers Crossbow
Complicated, un-nervingly so. How best to describe it when you first lay hands on this monstrosity of a crossbow. Though only small, the crossbow itself has been so very painstakingly outfited with scopes, clamps, cranks, switches and knobs that it could very easily pass for a gnomish kitchen utensil. Atop it sits the only truely useful piece of equipment. An old, though none the less servicable and masterfully made set of sights. Using the various added cranks and gadgets one could theoreticly set the sight for a very precise, debilitating strike. Moving around the old set of sights too often, however, is likely to cause it to break. The sights also serve to imbalance the crossbow slightly, causing it to be a little more difficult to aim normally than regular crossbows.

He hardly ever spoke, claiming that actions spoke louder than words.

The lucky ones that passed this horror show would be gifted a katana, a variation apon a theme of the one he carries. His blade is colored a deep red, some say it's the blood of the master he learned from many years ago. It's serrated down one side and embued with a constant burning flame.

Devout Tooth
This Halberd seems to be topped with a huge, razor sharp tooth. Closer inspection will reveal it to be quite clearly a dragons tooth. The shaft of the halberd is made of adamantine, with a bit of gold inlayed. This tooth was originally that of Osthartrix, a powerful red dragon and devout of Tiamat whom died in battle with several gold dragons. In his dying breath he cursed Metalic dragons everywhere, and called out to Tiamat to make him a vessal to save him as death closed in. No aid came for Osthartrix, however, and he was slain.
His body was pillaged by greedy humans. His scales used to produce fine armor, eyes to create powerful savrasian seeing trinkets and his teeth even pulled from his very mouth.
One such tooth exhibited strange behaviour, however. When it was placed atop a halberd for purely cosmetic appearance to be gifted to a local lord on his day of marriage, it immediately began to show it's true Power. Engulfing tooth and body of the Lord in red flames for but a moment, it slowly broke the Lord over the next few months. He eventually became maddened, hateful and left his home in search of metalic dragons. The unknown lord slayed many dragons until he was finally felled by one of their older kin. The weapon was unable to be destroyed, however, and legend says it has been hidden and lost since that fateful day that it was pryed from it's first master.

The wailing heart,
Somewhere, lost in the endless wastes of the Anauroch, rumors speak of an old and abandoned Sunite temple near an oasis that has since been devoured by the shifting sands of the desert. When the oasis was founded, a unique orchid was said to have grown here, blossoming every year at Greengrass. So sturdy, and marvellously beautiful was this plant, that the first Sunites to discover the oasis chose one of their members to remain behind and nurture it, allowing it to survive until Midsummer night, when the wind would finally blow it away. Over time, the faith erected a small shrine in honor of this flower, and while the oasis was prosperous, it slowly grew into a respectable temple - constantly planting new saplings, and soon blossoming myriads of flowers instead of just one.
Then however, merely a few decades ago, survivers of a heavily battered caravan are rumored to have arrived at the infamous Poison Water Inn sharing tales of horror at the sight of the oasis, that must have been befallen by some mysterious disaster. The few survivers were said to have been whispering tales of man and mount alike stumbling mindlessly between an overgrown greenish hell of sickly sweet vapors, singing and dancing until they died of thirst… of corpses sprouting vines and thorns, and sickly outgrowth... and finally of a low wailing being heard from inside the overgrown temple.
Few have dared to look for the oasis since, and those who returned reported it swallowed by the hungry maw that is Anuroch. No traces to be found of either oasis, Sunites, or the mysterious orchid. Most of those who left, however, were never seen again to report about their findings. A very few fortunate ones telling tales of a thin greenish fog flowing over the desert that would drive their camels insane before hurriedly managing to flee. And yet...
...deep down in the temple, Sune's highest cleric had retreated from the disaster to the innermost sanctum, praying to his goddess for protection, yet she remained silent. As his friends, and loved ones died, he still kept praying... faithful at first, then desperate.. yet somehow a veil appeared to have seperated him and the entire oasis from their goddess, an ancient trap sprung. Then, in his last moments, the second before the horror devoured his heart as well, he choked out a curse of the fickle goddess of love for having abandoned them so... and with his final breath, issuing a final prayer to the feared Mistress of the Night, pleading to keep him and his failure hidden from the face of Toril.
And apparently, Shar heard, and chuckled to herself, and took his heart and soul, and turned it into a blackened stone. The heart of the oasis. A token of what was lost, and the Sunites failure.

Sword of freedom
Ferdinan Greymourne was a legendary harper, who specialised in helping harpers and good people who had been unwrongful jailed. Through his career, it is believed that he freed well over 300 people from jailcells all across Fearun. As a gift of one of an unknown wizard for saving his life, this beautiful piece of weaponry was produced. Eventually tracked down by bounty hunters of Thay, the fate of the sword is unknown.
Made of mithril, this sword carries many useful enchantments for a prison break, as well as lowering the wisdom of the wearer, to not hinder him in his crazy and foolish tasks. The tip of the sword is small and sharp, to make it easier to pick locks with it. Part of Ferdinan's succes is because of this blade, as it also protects the user from the most useful measures of entrapments. Made to only be used for good intentions, a heavy enchantment protects the sword from being used to free actual criminals.
