Letter: Lieutenant Sergei
I have heard through the grapevine that Philip Randles has been demoted for the inane crime of slaying an Infernalist murderer as he both attempted to take the Sergeant's life and then flee when he found that it was not as easy as he thought.
I would request that you reinstate Randles into his old position, this does not look good for your organization.
Punishing the only active and dare I say recognizable officer walking the streets is beyond folly.

I suppose being complicit in an act of torture with a now wanted criminal isn't worthy of demotion. If he was as stellar and stalwart as you say he was, he'd have reported it immediately, not waited weeks thus permitting Gorstag to escape justice.
I guess he didn't tell you that part. Additionally, the man was wanted alive. Murdering a wanted criminal who is wanted -alive- is murder. Frankly, the man is lucky he isn't swinging from the noose himself.
